Bright Eyes Wish List

Friday, 20 January 2012

Recently I started noticing that when I wake up in the morning my eyes are a bit puffy and circled with a purplish/ blackish hue. I know this is a common problem for people but I got to be honest, it did take me off guard. I never had really dealt with a problem like this and so when I first noticed it I thought maybe I just needed to have better sleeps. I am a pretty regimented person when it comes to my sleeping schedule so when I do not sleep well I do notice some exhaustion-induced issues; but unfortunately, after many nights of going to bed early and getting my full 8 hours of sleep I've summed up that these bags do not seem to be a problem due to my sleeping pattern. Looks like I am aging folks, I am 21 and already aging - what the heck, right?
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of women in their early twenties who were also apparently googling this issue, I am not alone! Google provided me lots of great reviews on various products, some were creams to apply overnight and some were daytime concealers. The consensus was that Benefit's Eye paste, Eye Cream & Pore-fessional products were the best products on the market for the issues I have been whining on about.
The overnight Eye Cream is apparently the best cream out there to help fight the first signs of stress and aging. It is supposed to help hydrate and improve collagen under your eyes, preventing any further skin damage. I've always heard the earlier you start applying these creams, so I guess this is a blessing in disguise?
I read that some people will use the Pore-fessional product under their eyes to help smooth it out before applying the Erase Paste. It has a light watery consistency that apparently helps hydrate the area before the concealer application.
I've always heard quite high praises of the Erase Paste, apparently it really brightens up eyes and smooths out any discolouration so I have made this the #1 product on this list for me to buy. I will save, buy and review for all of you!

Have any of you tried out these products? Let me know your opinion on them!
xx

  3. I really want the It's Potent eye cream, the girl at the benefit counter used it on me and I'm in love.
I already have the erase paste and the porefessional (which I have reviewed on my blog if you want to take a look http://everythings-rosie.blogspot.com/2012/01/benefit-haul.html)
it really is good and Erase paste is one of the best concealers I have tried, it goes on best with a chunky concealer brush like the ecotools/no7 ones!
    Great blog :) following!

  4. I am so glad you posted this. I have been looking for products to use to help with dark eye circles for a while. Nothing I use seems to help. I am looking forward to see if these products help you. Can you maybe do a before and after pic? -Dreama

  5. I haven't tried these products since I don't really have bags but I've heard great things about Erase Paste. Even without the bags, it's important to use eye cream to maintain the sensitive skin around the eyes. I've been using Mario Badescu's Hyaluronic Eye Cream and it's not bad so far.

  6. Hi! So glad I subscribed you, this is just what I needed!
I am only 18 but after so many sleepless nights working through to get projects ready in time, the dark circles came to stay!
I am currently using a caffeine based product that is great for the puffiness but not so good for the dark circles, which is my actual problem at the moment so I can't wait to try this out.
My concealer is from Lierac and works pretty well!
I'll be checking on this post to read other responses!

  12. I have 'the POREfessional', but I don't own the other products. I've never used it under my eyes before, I usually just use it on my nose to minimalise pores there, which it does an ok job of doing but some of the pores are still visible. People have said how silky their skin feels after using it too, but I've never noticed that before. xo

  13. I love the It's Potent eye cream and the Erase Paste. I have used the eye cream for at least a year and the Erase Paste for a few years.

I used the other eye cream by Benefit before this and loved that, too. The eye cream is my favorite of all creams. I have tried drugstore eye creams and just cannot find anything that makes me as happy.

The Erase Paste is great for under eyes and as a concealer for other parts of the face.

I also use the Eye Bright pencil. It's pinkish color helps cover the dark really well.
