So this past weekend I attended my good friends going away party. I wrote about my weekend in greater detail yesterday, but I wanted to show you what I wore out to the event!
I decided to dress pretty casually for the night out. I had had a really busy Saturday day so I was a bit tired by the time I had to go out so I didn't want to get all gussied up really. I felt like this was still chic while being a bit more comfy-casual.
I decided to dress pretty casually for the night out. I had had a really busy Saturday day so I was a bit tired by the time I had to go out so I didn't want to get all gussied up really. I felt like this was still chic while being a bit more comfy-casual.
Once I got downtown I had a really lovely time sipping Sangria and dancing the night away with friends. It was lovely and fun to see everyone, especially all the people that I hadn't seen since High-school - it was like a high-school reunion!
So this is my friend and I at her going away party, isn't she gorgeous!? I must say, I was pretty envious of her awesome tan! She has had to tan in preparation for Africa so that she will hopefully adjust to the heat there a bit easier, I can only imagine how sunburnt I would get there honestly!
So back to the highschool reunion! It's funny how we all have been out of school long enough now to really have developed completely separate lives from one another, it feels like just yesterday that I was sitting in class with all of them! Sharing stories and hearing about all their achievements since high-school was really neat and inspiring.
It really made me realize that I need to start making some decisions about my direction for school & work. It's a bit daunting to go through all the options, overwhelming to see all the possibilities but at the same time it is very exciting to know that soon enough I'll be working towards a future I'll love. I just have to decide what sort of future I want.

DeleteOutfit looks great! I know what you mean about reunions, although we haven't had one officially, it's always strange catching up with people you bump into from school! It will be 8 years this summer since I left school - so strange. Hopefully we will get a 10 year reunion soon!
ReplyDeletehttp://fiftysixfreckles.blogspot.com
Thank you!
DeleteYeah reunions can be so so odd, I haven't had my 10 year yet - a few years to go for that one, but I am constantly bumping into people from my HS days. This past weekend it just seemed like everyone from HS was there, it was so strange! xx
I love your jumper, you really suit red! I always find reunions interesting, it's so strange seeing people you were once close with leading completely different lives, and those who do things you wouldn't have expected them to do! xx

Thank you!
DeleteYeah that is probably the oddest part, talking to someone you used to know so well that is now somewhat of a stranger!
xx
