April Luxe Box Review

This months Luxe box arrived at my house on May 4th, a bit late which did make me a bit annoyed... annoyed until I opened it up.

When I opened the box up I gasped a little because I was instantly struck by the little blue box labelled "Moroccan Oil". I adore Moroccan Oil and have used it religiously since I discovered it a year ago. It is a treatment I use daily to tame my hair before I run off to work and it makes my hair shiny, healthy and lush all day long. I jumped around smiling like a crazy person and Jeremy said "So, this is a good box this month then?" - apparently he has gotten used this my frantic & insane behaviour and in-fact can now even identify the means of my spurts of excitement. I don't know if this is embarrassing or sweet.

Then I looked further into the box, and there was a second item - a super luxurious, high end, beautifully package mascara from one of my absolute favourite brands, Lise Watier.  The reason I love Lise Waiter so much is because I feel like you can never go wrong with their products, I've never ended up with buyers regret on anything I've ever purchased by LW and in-fact most of the time once I've tried a LW product it becomes a staple in my beauty bag. Seriously, I love Lise Watier's liquid eyeliners, eyeshadows and most of all, their Mascaras - I am hooked on this brand. 

The beautiful golden tube of mascara made me, once again, hop around giggling and smiling. Their mascaras really define lashes and make them look extra long, extra thick, and extra seductive. I adore long lashes, to me nothing completes a look like long, thick, gorgeous lashes does - they just make your eyes look so beautiful! 

Those two items alone made this box worth while for me, I was so impressed by the wonderfully high end products that I couldn't help but forgive + forget that the box was delivered quite late - who cares, really?

Two high end items would be enough you'd think, but they spoiled me further and gave me one more super top-notch product Mereadesso. This lotion is really love, it is super smooth and absorbs quickly so your skin isn't left with that tacky feeling! I use this on my elbows, knees & hands because those are the areas I feel dry out the quickest. I do not use this on my face because my facial skin is so sensitive I just wouldn't risk it, but I have read that it can also be a nice facial moisturizer.

They gave another product from Mereadesso which is a neck and face toner which was simply amazing. My skin felt incredibly soft after using this and I am so impressed by this I think I am actually going to go out and purchase a full size!!! I have never actually used a toner before on my skin and I was a bit nervous it would make me break out, or worse - get hives - but thankfully I did not, and instead my skin was left smooth and silky feeling! How wonderful! 

The final items Luxe Box gave me were few packets of Redkens Colour-last shampoo and conditioner. 

 Honestly, I don't really love Redken's Colour Last line, it seems to dry out my already frizzy crazy hair so I will probably pass this one off to my boyfriend who can literally use anything on his hair and still have amazing hair (jerk!).  My hair needs a bit more moisture than this product can give it!

Needless to say, I am totally thrilled with this month's Luxe Box! The products were all amazing and super high end, I don't think I could have been any more thrilled when I opened the box up! I will definitely use up the Moroccan oil, Meredesso & LW products, though I can't say the same for the Redken (though my boyfriend will sure like the spontaneous gift, shh don't tell him I am re-gifting them!). 

I was really thrilled that Luxe Box took the time to add in these little Daffodil's in honour of Canadians living with Cancer. If you're not living in Canada then perhaps you're unaware that April is the month to fight back against Cancer and to give support to those living with Cancer.  In one way or another everyone has been effected by cancer, either by knowing someone who has battled it, losing someone, or by living through it themselves, and it is really powerful when people band together in the effort to fight against it.
