Coral + Mint

Why Hello, Hello there!

I recently received this lovely, super fun and adorable dress from Oasap.com – can you tell I like it? The dresses colours are absolutely fabulous and this dress is unlike anything I’ve ever owned which is probably why I am so enamoured with it! I tend to shy away from dresses that colour block orange into them, because sometimes I feel like orange can look a tad tacky – a tad “A&W” – but this dress proves me wrong! The orange with the green sounds like I would look like a carrot but it actually looks really fresh, cute and sweet! Plus the material is very light weight, making it the perfect summer go-to dress.

 

I decided to pair my new dress with my fairly new hot-coral Guess heels because I loved how the orange, coral and green all play together – it doesn’t feel like the colours are competing or there is too much brightness in the outfit, instead the vivid coral shoes make the outfit look even more put together than a pair of nude heels would!

My accessories are very minimal but I feel like it still packs a punch! The lilac bag, my lucky find at Winners, adds a bit of visual interest with the studded edge while not adding another bright colour to the outfit. I think any more brights could’ve made this outfit look slightly confused! I like that though it’s a cute addition it doesn’t make the outfit look too bright or cluttered.
