I’m a Vancouver girl at heart. I love living this incredible city, and it feels like every day I get to discover something new and exciting. I love the mixture of city + greenery that Vancouver has. I love the sea wall for daily walks, the parks for weekend picnics, and the city bustle when I am looking to turn up the tempo.
This passed weekend is a perfect example of all I love about Vancouver: our day started at my favourite brunch spot, the Score on Davie, then we walked over to the Jazz Music Festival at Lam Park, and then we moseyed on over to Granville Island for a afternoon with friends, and we finished off our day oceanside in Coal Harbor at Tap & Barrel. Lastly, on Sunday I spent my day doing a little weekend prep by heading out to a farmer’s market and collecting my weeks worth of goodies. There’s so much to see, and so much to do in this beautiful city of ours, and today I am excited to share a few of them with you! Click through to read my full guide on Vancouver!
Things to Do in Vancouver
One thing I love about Vancouver is the food – there really is no shortage on delicious places to try out. Fable & Forage have to be two of my favourite dinner restaurants. Fable food is simply delicious, and Forage ever changing menu is always a delicious surprise. For dessert try out Earnest Icecream or Rain or Shine Café. Both spots are sure to offer you a refreshing treat on these hot summer days. My favourite spots for sushi are Miku (though it is on the pricy side) and Kishimoto on commercial drive. Be warned though, Kishimoto usually has a pretty long line-up because the sushi is not only incredible, it’s also super affordable, which makes it a hot dinner spot. The Cloud 9 Restaurant on Robson Street is a revolving restaurant that is perfect for late night drinks –and to see Vancouver from above.
