If there is one thing I found working in an office environment, it was that I became bored with my in-office style very, very quickly. Since there are so many “style rules” that apply to a work environment, it is easy to get stuck in a repetitive (and redundant) flow of styles – slacks, button-ups, blazers – over and over again.
But one thing I’ve come to appreciate, especially now that my “work style” is only necessary occasionally (I work from home, and only here and there have meetings that require dressing up), are office styles that have something more unique and off-beat about them. Today I am sharing a few of my very favourite styles that step up any office look so scroll on through to see more!
6 Must Try Outfits to Rock Your Office Style
1. The Button Up Dress
A twist on a classic button-up shirt or blouse, the button up dress has a bit more of a playful and light hearted feel. This dress is one that I feel is the perfect outfit for an interview, or for a quick coffee meeting. It’s comfortable, easy to wear, and appears more sophisticated than a simple fit and flare dress.
2. The Polished LWD
A pretty LWD is great for all occasions, but add in a higher neckline and collar and suddenly it’s a dress you can literally wear from the office, to the post-work patio, to a dinner date out with that special someone. This versatile number has been one of my favourites this summer, and has been one of my quick go-to’s when I need to get ready in a rush.
3. The Perfect Casual Friday Outfit
Casual Friday doesn’t need to be so… casual? Instead, try rocking some unique styles like a blush button-up, a pair of comfortable white jeans, and some rockin’ kicks. While this look many not be appropriate Monday-Thursday, it’s definitely one that fits the bill for a super stylish casual Friday look.
4. The Professional
Go retro with your professional style with a pair of high waist trousers and a cute peter pan collar blouse, and a throwback colour (Holla #TBT style!) combination of teal and rust.
5. Professional with an Edge
Yes, you can officially bring the edge to the office. With retro styles like fringe coming back, there’s no reason to not add in a fringe jacket, vest, or handbag to your office look. Pieces like these will add more visual interest to your look, show a bit more personality, and will allow you to have a bit more fun with your day to day style.
6. Light and Floral
Let’s get honest – no one wears slacks or jeans anymore. We are all about the leggings, jeggings, and soft stretchy fabrics. Jeggings are some of my favourite pieces to wear as they don’t sacrifice comfort or style when made well. These jeggings are floral print and frankly, they are fabulous. Simple pair them with a simple blouse, some comfortable shoes (you don’t need to do strappy heels like I have!), a structured bag, and you’re ready for one heck of a stylish day at the office.

Bree… I like your office looks and I think Jennings are great when they are dressy and fit nicely… you can dress them up so nicely xox ♡
