Last week, I made a lot of time to treat myself to some R&R. I indulged my skin with the Oxygeneo 3-in-1 Super Facial, and I also went to NIC Spa on Granville St. for a wonderful manicure + pedicure. And, it all happened at the perfect time since this week is so busy as we are heading to the Sunshine Coast this weekend for Jeremy’s brother’s (and my close friends) wedding!
Nic Spa is located on Granville St. and is the newest facility opened by New Image College. Since most of the estheticians are studying and in training, the costs associated with their services are super affordable. In fact, a vast majority of their services are only $20.00!
Here is a full list of their $20.00 services:
- Manicure (1 hour)
- Pedicure (1 hour)
- Artificial Nails (2-3 hours)
- Facial (1 hour)
- Lash and Brow Tinting (45 min)
- Back Facials (30 min)
- Electrotherapy Treatment (45 min)
- Aromatherapy Body Wrap (1 hour)
- Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage (30 min)
- Cellulite Massage (30 min)
- Arm Wax (1 hour)
- Leg Wax (1 hour)
- Brazilian Wax (1 hour)

My experience at Nic Spa
Overall, I had a really nice time at Nic Spa. While the spa itself is quite simple, the affordability factor really makes it a great spot to go to for a little relaxation without breaking the bank.
I think Nic Spa on Granville is an excellent option for those living on a budget who still want to enjoy going to the spa now and again. The fact that all of the treatments are so affordable also makes it easier to justify going to the spa more regularly.
I’ve always believed that “me time” is essential for our mental and physical health. If I am too on the go constantly, I lose focus, energy, and drive – and that impacts my health, work, and creativity. Having some “me time” last week helped motivate me to take on this week with a bit more enthusiasm. Plus, who doesn’t love having nice toes for summer? Hello, sandals!
