My weekend style always runs along the same lines – casual, comfortable, and effortless. I like to wear things that I can’t get away with during the weekdays, like my torn-up relaxed fit boyfriend jeans.
These jeans have been one of my favourites over the last few months and I just can’t get enough of how comfortable they are, and how fun they are to style.
I actually started my day by wearing these jeans with a simple t-shirt while we were doing a bit of work around the apartment. But, when I popped out to see my friend Leeanne, I decided to swap out my casual tee for a more prim and pretty peplum top. I love how the torn-up denim gives this look a bit of a casual and carefree vibe.
This past weekend was nothing short of fantastic. I organized my jewelry, picked out a few things for the blogger sale, walked the sea wall, and went to Dark Room for dinner.
I had heard about Dark Room a few months ago and thought the concept of dining in the dark was really neat. Dark Room presents an opportunity to gain a better understanding of what the blind community experiences.
Though you’re only getting the tip of the iceberg of what living blind would be like, it’s a really interesting experience and makes you realize how heavily you rely on your sight for everything you do.
Our server, Albert, was incredible and really helped us better navigate our meal. When I say navigate, I mean truly you are learning how to find your fork, knife, food, and drink just with your hands – which I didn’t master well and spilled my glass of wine within just a few minutes of being there!
