Beauty Bridge Haul | Stila Cosmetics & Smashbox Cosmetics Review

Reading Time: 3 minutesBeauty Bridge Haul | Stila Cosmetics & Smashbox Cosmetics Review Beauty Bridge recently reached out to me to see if I’d like to grab a few products from their website. Being a huge fan of a number of the brands they had available online, I was immediately excited to pick a couple products out to try and review.

Stila Cosmetics Aqua Glow Serum Foundation

Beauty Bridge Haul | Stila Cosmetics & Smashbox Cosmetics Review One of the products that caught my eye right of the bat was the Stila Cosmetics Aqua Glow Serum Foundation. The shade I grabbed was Light which honestly is the absolute perfect shade for me. This foundation is a light-medium (buildable) coverage. I really like lighter coverage foundations as I enjoy having my freckles and moles peek through my foundation. I personally find that makes my makeup overall look best and natural.

The one thing about this foundation is that is moves around so in order to get it to set and stay, you’ll want to use a powder and a setting spray. I found that as I did my makeup I noticed that if my hand touched my face it would remove part of my makeup so additionally, I would apply this foundation after applying your eye makeup. This is typically the best method to ensure your foundation doesn’t get muddied by your eyeshadow anyways (so basically, if you follow my tutorial using these products – just hold off using the foundation til the end!)

Stila Cosmetics Smudge Pot in Kitten

Beauty Bridge Haul | Stila Cosmetics & Smashbox Cosmetics Review Another product I knew I wanted to try out was the Stila Cosmetics Smudge Pot in Kitten. Stila Cosmetics has a bunch of products in the shade Kitten and so far I’ve loved them all – their glitter shadow and highlighter in particular. Beauty Bridge Haul | Stila Cosmetics & Smashbox Cosmetics Review I was so impressed by this smudge pot. I used it as an eyeliner on top of my typical cat eye and loved how the soft shimmery champagne-pink really brightened up my makeup look and added a really unique metallic-like element to my liner. Beauty Bridge Haul | Stila Cosmetics & Smashbox Cosmetics Review Once applied, I found that this product set in place quickly and didn’t budge. I wore it for approx. 8 hours and found that the liner was on perfectly still by the end of the night. While I use this as an eyeliner, I also think this would work beautifully as an eyeshadow.

Beauty Bridge Haul | Stila Cosmetics & Smashbox Cosmetics Review This highlight has made it into my holy grail favourites – I am obsessed with it. Too bad I discovered this after I filmed and posted my recent Favourite Highlighters video! The Smashbox Spotlight Palette in Pearl has 3 shades, all of which have a soft pearly-pink tone to them. The first shade in the palette is a champagne-pink, the second is a deeper rosé type pink, and the third is a soft peachy-pink.

The highlights melt into your skin and add that perfect glow. I found this highlight to really easily build up to be quite striking, but you can apply with a lighter hand for a softer and more subtle looking highlighter. I’ve loved mixing the shades together to create my ideal highlight shade.

Single-use items are used for a short time, but they have a lasting impact on our environment. I believe nature is sacred and we need to cherish it, support it, and respect it. That’s why when I go on a hike I always make sure to bring my reusable water bottle.

Carrying a reusable water bottle is a simple Superhabit that you can implement anywhere you go! So this summer stay hydrated and stay environmentally responsible with a reusable water bottle! #WhatsYourSuperhabit

“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛
