10 Best Overnight Hair Tips | Wake Up With Styled Hair!

Once upon a time, I would get up extra early to style my hair. I would quietly tip-toe to the bathroom in order not to wake anyone else up, would plug in my straightening and curling iron, and would begin my morning duty of making my hair presentable. After a few years of doing this I, A) realized that I was damaging my hair every single day, and B) I really would rather get those few extra minutes of sleep.     It was then that I began looking into uncovering overnight hair care beauty tips that would allow me to style my hair in my sleep. After sharing my 5 top tricks to gorgeous hair every day, I thought it would be pretty great to expand on that and share a few tricks you can do while you SLEEP to have great hair every day. Since finding these 10 fool-proof overnight hair tips, I have been able to hit my snooze button multiple times without the stress of messy frizzy hair, my hair has gotten healthier, and it’s officially grown longer than ever before.

10 Hair Tricks To Wake Up With Perfect Hair | Best Overnight Hair Tips

Braid It

Get loose waves as you sleep simply by braiding your hair. Braids will encourage soft loose waves and also reduce tangles that typically occur as you sleep. This will work especially well if you braid your hair when it’s slightly damp and allow it to dry fully overnight in the braid.     Overnight Conditioning Treatments On a weekend, deep condition your hair overnight to help get super healthy and soft hair. While this may not help you wake up with perfectly styled tresses, it will help reduce damage and split ends.

Use a Scrunchy

Rather than using an elastic band or hair tie, use a scrunchy to tie your hair back. Scrunchies are softer and come in a variety of fabrics. Look for a velvet or silk scrunchy to reduce damage significantly.

Use a Silk Sash

Pull your hair away from your face with a silk sash. Silk is the best material on your hair as it’s so soft and does not snag. By pulling the front pieces of hair away from your face, you’ll also reduce oiliness on those pieces and on your hairline.

Get a Silk Pillowcase

To further reduce damage and wake up with silky tangle-free hair, invest in a silk pillowcase. Silk pillowcases are game-changers when it comes to hair health and tangles as they don’t rub or snag on your hair as usual cotton cases do.

Overnight Curlers

If you want your hair to appear more styled then go out and grab yourself a pair of Conair Twist Curlers. You can achieve beachy waves look all the way to a tightly curled look depending on how long you leave these curlers in. I shared a full tutorial on how to get effortless damage-free beach waves here using the Conair twists!

Use a Serum BEFORE Bed

Wake up with soft shiny hair every day simply by adding a touch of serum to your hair ends before bed. This will help seal your ends and reduce the look of fuzzy frizzy hair.

Use a Leave-in Conditioner

After showering, use a leave-in conditioner to help soften your hair and eliminate knots. A leave-in conditioner will make your hair more manageable.

Overnight Sock Bun Waves

One other method to wake up with gorgeous hair is by learning how to create soft bouncy curls with a sock bun. This technique will pull your hair away from your face which will help reduce oiliness, and will style your hair as you sleep! Or, if you don’t want to use a sock – then buy one of these hair donuts!   PS. If you like this overnight hair tips post, then you’ll LOVE these:

If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want to spend all of my spare time off grid, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and mountains — I would’ve told you that you were crazy... But here we are 🤷‍♀️😂🌲💛 #WhereLifeLeads
“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛

I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the loss and illness that so many have experienced from C. It has been an extraordinarily hard two years for many, many people, for all sorts of different reasons and it is not my aim to diminish any of them. What I am trying to express is that we are at a breaking point societally.

If we continue to move forward with coercion, mandates, restrictions, and divisive passports based on fear (or a hope) then we risk setting precedents that we may not be comfortable leaning on in the future. We also risk dividing our society to such a degree that may make it difficult, if not impossible, to ever bring back together. Despite all of the debates, arguments, and comments made over the last few years, I do not believe that deep down Canadians want to live in a state of perpetual division.

If this is not the time to unite and end these mandates, when is? It is our systems that are broken, and they have been broken for a very long time. We all know this. Let's unite and fix them, and more together 💛

Creating our own peace ☮️

Nearing the end of 2021, one thing that Jer & I wanted to prioritize was creating our own peace. Life has been exhausting for the last long while and, like most people, our mental well-being suffered from the current state of Canada. We knew we needed to make some changes, add something to our lives to remove us (even temporarily, now and again) from the chaos that is now the “new normal”. So, we began making road trips around BC to find our very own home away from home. I feel immensely lucky to now have this remote sanctuary in our lives. It is somewhere we can go when life gets too overwhelming, somewhere we could live eventually if life continues to be overwhelming. In just the first few days here, I’ve already felt a shift in my mindset. I feel incredibly lucky to have this place and already it feels like home. 💖
✨Growing pains✨ . . . 2021, for many of us, w ✨Growing pains✨
. . .
2021, for many of us, was a year of growth. Some of it was painful, most of it inspiring, and all of it necessary. Sometimes growing means needing to shed the older versions of ourselves and sometimes that can be difficult or cause a loss in friendships or relationships. It can be challenging - believe me, I get it. But, anything or anyone who couldn't respect your growth then won't respect your future growth. While growth can be painful it is not nearly as painful as the dull consistent ache of feeling stuck.
