25 Style and Beauty Tips You NEED To Know

Get Rid of Stains Wherever You are:

Carry a tide-to-go pen in your purse to get rid of stains right when they happen

De-Wrinkle FAST:

Quickly get rid of wrinkles in your clothes by hanging your clothes up in the washroom as you shower. The steam from the shower will loosen out the wrinkles.

Re-purpose Old Mascara Brushes.

Rather than throwing out your old mascara brushes, rinse them and re-purpose them! Mascara brushes can be super useful, for example you could use your old mascara brushes to tame your brows or to fix flyaways.

Pay Attention to Seaming:

To avoid looking boxy in a blazer, look for blazers which have princess seaming. This seaming cuts in closer to your body and will give a more shapely appearance.

Step in Tar? We can fix that!

On a super hot day, have you ever had tar melt onto your shoes? Quickly remove the tar by soaking your shoes in coca cola!

Say Goodbye to Deodorant Stains:

Eliminate deodorant stains in a jiffy by rubbing a pair of nylons on the stain. The nylons will remove the deodorant stain immediately.

The Travelling Scent:

Invest in a travel perfume container so you can spritz on your favourite scent throughout the day.

Pick Your Clothes ahead of Time:

Rather than waiting til last minute to pick an outfit, choose your full week of outfits out on Sunday. This will help eliminate morning stress.

Try the Neck Method:

If you don’t have time to try on a pair of jeans, use the neck method to get an idea if they’ll fit. Simply wrap the waist band of the pants around your neck and if it comfortably fits around your neck than chances are they’ll fit your waist, too.

See what you REALLY Wear:

Cut down on excess by creating a method to see what you really wear in your closest. One easy way to do this is by marking one side of all of your hangers. When you wear an item, simply turn the marked side of the hanger the other way to show you wore that article of clothing. You’ll quickly see which pieces you tend to skip over – and you can get rid of those!

Have Wider + Brighter Eyes in an Instant.

Use a highlighter or light eyeshadow in the inner eye tear-duct and browbone areas to brighten and widen your eyes.

Hand Wash Swimwear:

If you want your favourite swimsuits to last, than you’re going to want to take the time to wash them carefully. Don’t ever put them in the washing machine.

Pack Swimwear Separately / Or by Colour:

To ensure your swimsuits don’t bleed onto one another when damp, pack along extra bags so you can pack your suits separately.

Make Lips Appear Larger (no needles required!)

Use a highlighter on your cupids bow to instantly make your lips appear larger.

Let it Set:

If you’ve just hung your items in the washroom to de-wrinkle, or just ironed out your outfit – wait a few minutes after removing the wrinkles before putting that piece of clothing on. You want the item to fully cool down before putting it on as putting it on when it’s still warm can actually create NEW wrinkles!

Soften Your Denim.

Add 1/2 – 1 cup of vinegar to your next wash cycle to help soften your jeans. Vinegar will break down the denim fibers and soften them.

Black Velvet.

Do your dresses slip and slide off their hangers? Invest in some velvet hangers! These hangers will keep dresses from slipping.

Avoid a Wash or Two.

One way to cut down on washing your denim (and having them fade!) is by freezer “washing” them. Put your jeans into a bag and then stick them in the freezer for a day to help keep them fresh.

Scent Beads.

Keep your clothes smelling fresh by adding packets of scent beads into your dresser drawers.

Goodbye to Streaky Tanlines.

Remove streaky tanlines with nail polish remover and a cotton pad.

Reduce the Appearance of Sun Spots.

Rub lemon juice onto your sun spots to help reduce the appearance of them. (But remember, the best way to reduce the appearance of sun spots is to never get them – use sunscreen!)

Elongate in an Instant.

Make your legs look longer with a pair of pointed toe heels or flats. Pointed toed shoes create the look of a longer line.

Remove Oil Stains Overnight!

Once upon a time, oil on your clothes meant that that article of clothing was a goner – but not anymore. Simply put baby powder on the oil stain and let is sit overnight to absorb the oil stain. If you find the following morning that the stain is still there than simply repeat this method. Eventually you’ll find that the oil will be completely gone.

Soften Feet While you Sleep!

Before heading off to bed, put lotion on your feet and then put socks on. This will condition your feet overnight and help soften any rough dry skin.

Coconut Oil is your new BFF.

Use coconut oil to condition your lashes and brows, remove your makeup, as a hair serum.

Single-use items are used for a short time, but they have a lasting impact on our environment. I believe nature is sacred and we need to cherish it, support it, and respect it. That’s why when I go on a hike I always make sure to bring my reusable water bottle.

Carrying a reusable water bottle is a simple Superhabit that you can implement anywhere you go! So this summer stay hydrated and stay environmentally responsible with a reusable water bottle! #WhatsYourSuperhabit

“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛
