It feels like the universe read last week’s post on how I was having a tough time finding my balance with work-life, because this week I have felt a sense of calm and ease with my work, blog, and life. One thing that I know has helped create a calmer mindset this week is all of your helpful advice. I appreciate your feedback / thoughts – they’ve really helped me gain some perspective on how to create a more balanced lifestyle.
We all have stressful days, but add to it that last week my computer crashed (which was devastating) and I needed to purchase a new computer (which is half exciting, half dreadful), I think that a stressful workload compounded with the big computer crash of ’16 made my nerves more frayed than they have ever before. I am sure there will be days in the future where I feel stressed and frazzled, but this week’s calm pace put my nerves at ease and has helped me regain a sense of control.
With that all being said, I wanted to begin looking forward and sharing with you a few things that are going on in my life that I find super exciting (and I hope you will, too!)
The Urban Umbrella Youtube Channel
Yes, you’ve read right! I’ve started a youtube channel. For quite sometime, I had thought about starting my own youtube channel to discuss beauty trends, makeup looks, and fashion more with you all. If you knew just how many times over the last year I almost started this channel, you’d laugh. I probably thought about it, nearly clicked the “create channel” button over a dozen times! I talked about it, thought about it, but when it came down to actually starting it – I got cold feet. There’s something about putting yourself out there, and having your voice truly heard, that has always scared me.
As a shy person, this was a huge leap, but now that it’s started I’ve never felt so inspired and excited to create more content! So with that being said, if you guys have video ideas, questions, or makeup looks you’d like to see – let me know in the comments below!
We’re officially a year away from our wedding (well, a year and 9 days) and that means it’s high time to get planning. While we’ve settled on a few key things (the venue, and photographer) – we still have a lot more to do and plan. I want to begin to share more of this process with you all, so expect some more wedding related content coming your way!
