All of last week I bailed on my “coffee only on the weekends” rule – I had coffee every single day and man – I needed it. After a really fun day away with my work in Whistler, my entire schedule for the week was thrown and so coffee was back on the daily menu. Our trip up to beautiful Whistler included a incredibly relaxing day at the Scandinave Spa, a lunch at Longhorns Pub, an incredible dinner at Quattro (HIGHLY recommend this place), and a night of dancing at a nearby club. It was a ton of fun, but when we got home Saturday afternoon I was exhausted. As soon as we got home, I slipped on my “OK, but first coffee” sweater (I really felt it suited the moment) and ran out for a much needed latte. After that I proceeded to spend my entire Saturday night watching movies, eating popcorn, & drinking tea in bed.
While I am usually pretty good at sticking to my resolutions, the days following our Whistler trip I broke all of my top three – no coffee, daily exercise, and my set sleep schedule. Though I am beginning to think that one coffee a day really isn’t such a terrible thing (I just can’t have more than that without having terrible insomnia & jitters), I do know that this week I need to kick myself back into gear on all my other schedules & healthy habits.
