Coolsculpting Review and Update (Before / After Photos!)

Reading Time: 4 minutes

*This treatment was provided to me for free from Delta Laser. They do not require me to post about it at all, I have chosen to document my experience because I feel it’s a unique and interesting process. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

It’s been a while since I last updated you on my Coolsculpting journey. This is because I did 2 treatments on my back, and in between those treatments you need to allow the Coolsculpting to take effect over 10 weeks. So, it takes a little bit of time. After the first treatment, I definitely noticed a small difference. Delta Laser let me know that it takes about 8-10 weeks to really see the change, and actually, I should say it takes that time to FEEL the change because you don’t see it as much as you feel it. I began noticing that certain pants felt more comfortable and that I liked how my overall shape looked in certain styles that I used to feel more insecure in.   The second round was the real game-changer though.

Coolsculpting Review and Update (Before / After Photos!)

After the second round of Coolsculpting on my back, I really saw and felt a difference. I mean, the proof is in the pudding: ie. the proof is in the before and after: Coolsculpting Review and Update (Before / After Photos!) Because the process of Coolsculpting is quite slow (it takes about 8-10 weeks for you to actually see results) it can be easy to not really notice the results yourself, which is why photos are so important. The photos really document the difference made by this treatment and showed me that there not only was a huge difference in how my clothes fit but also how my shape looked. Now, we’re moving forward and treating my stomach area which is really exciting for me. I have always felt that my mid-section was my biggest “problem area” and so I am really excited to see the difference there. Since fitness has always been a part of my life (I have to stay in relatively good shape because of my spinal condition and spinal fusion surgery) I feel that I am a very healthy and fit person but I do have areas that I’ve found really challenging to get in shape and it’s really exciting for me to see if this may help that area.

The Cost

I know Coolsculpting is an expensive treatment which is why I always tell people that this is not a treatment that you should go into debt over – really, never go into debt over any kind of vanity treatment. This is a treatment for those who have a problem area that they would really like to fix, but it won’t financially devastate them to do so. In addition, I feel it has to be noted that Coolsculpting is not a weight loss solution. It’s simply a solution for small areas with stubborn fat. It will get rid of small pockets of fat, but it will not completely change your body. The difference will be subtle and mostly just noticeable to you. I do think this treatment is worthwhile for those who have taken issue with a certain spot on their body and having Coolsculpting would help them feel better about that area. While I entirely feel people should love themselves and celebrate their bodies, I also know that we all have areas we would like to improve and sometimes exercise and healthy eating just isn’t enough. I have never been someone who’s been against someone going and getting a treatment done to make themselves look and feel better. Basically, my opinion is: You do you!
*If you are against treatments like these, I absolutely understand. I am not saying that this is something everyone should get, or that is 100% necessary. This is a vanity treatment and is an individual choice. Please comment kindly.

If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want to spend all of my spare time off grid, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and mountains — I would’ve told you that you were crazy... But here we are 🤷‍♀️😂🌲💛 #WhereLifeLeads
“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛

I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the loss and illness that so many have experienced from C. It has been an extraordinarily hard two years for many, many people, for all sorts of different reasons and it is not my aim to diminish any of them. What I am trying to express is that we are at a breaking point societally.

If we continue to move forward with coercion, mandates, restrictions, and divisive passports based on fear (or a hope) then we risk setting precedents that we may not be comfortable leaning on in the future. We also risk dividing our society to such a degree that may make it difficult, if not impossible, to ever bring back together. Despite all of the debates, arguments, and comments made over the last few years, I do not believe that deep down Canadians want to live in a state of perpetual division.

If this is not the time to unite and end these mandates, when is? It is our systems that are broken, and they have been broken for a very long time. We all know this. Let's unite and fix them, and more together 💛

Creating our own peace ☮️

Nearing the end of 2021, one thing that Jer & I wanted to prioritize was creating our own peace. Life has been exhausting for the last long while and, like most people, our mental well-being suffered from the current state of Canada. We knew we needed to make some changes, add something to our lives to remove us (even temporarily, now and again) from the chaos that is now the “new normal”. So, we began making road trips around BC to find our very own home away from home. I feel immensely lucky to now have this remote sanctuary in our lives. It is somewhere we can go when life gets too overwhelming, somewhere we could live eventually if life continues to be overwhelming. In just the first few days here, I’ve already felt a shift in my mindset. I feel incredibly lucky to have this place and already it feels like home. 💖
✨Growing pains✨ . . . 2021, for many of us, w ✨Growing pains✨
. . .
2021, for many of us, was a year of growth. Some of it was painful, most of it inspiring, and all of it necessary. Sometimes growing means needing to shed the older versions of ourselves and sometimes that can be difficult or cause a loss in friendships or relationships. It can be challenging - believe me, I get it. But, anything or anyone who couldn't respect your growth then won't respect your future growth. While growth can be painful it is not nearly as painful as the dull consistent ache of feeling stuck.
