How to Fix Dry Lips:
1. Lip Scrub
First you’re going to want to either buy or make a lip scrub. I have two, one from Fresh Beauty and one from Lush and I’d recommend them both. The Fresh Lip Polish is a much oilier base than the Lush scrub. It gently sloughs away dead skin and leaves your lips feeling moisturized.
*If you don’t have the funds to buy a lip scrub, don’t worry – it’s something you can also easily make at home. Simply combine a little oil with sugar to create a scrub-like consistency.
Rub the scrub over your lips but be sure to do this lightly, you don’t want to further dry out and crack your lips. You just want to slough off any of the dead icky skin. When you feel you’ve removed the dead skin cells, rinse the scrub off using a warm towel.
2. Invest in a treatment lip-balm.
** EXTRA TIP: When my lips are super dry, I turn to coconut oil. Coconut Oil is key in keeping your lips moisturized after you’ve scrubbed them clean.
Rather than put on your favourite lip-balm, opt for oil. Lip-balms often have ingredients that actually can dry out your skin so before going back to your favourite balm you’ll want to prime your lips with something a little more natural.
** You can use any oil you like (Olive, Avocado, Grape-seed, etc), I just prefer coconut oil for hair and skin treatments.

I struggle with this SO much in the winter! Thanks for the tips!
Hey I have used that Lush lip scrub before! That one is seriously good *thumbs up*

Great tips. My lips are always dry. Do you do in evening or am usually?
Typically in the evening because I like to really load up on the lip-balm and make it kind of an "overnight" treatment, but you could really do this whenever!
Lovely post! Will definitely try this! Ading you on bloglovin right now! Follow back please!

Yes! I really need a good scrub about now.
Bree, I am going to try to make a sugar and oil lip scrub… I had heard about one with honey but I think the oil one would work better leaving a little moisture… xox
I had terribly dry lips this year- I think it was because of my new job (different air environment, talking a lot…). I did a diy scrub with sugar and olive oil, finishing it off with Vaseline, but your solutions sound a lot less messy and a lot prettier 🙂
Oh this sounds yummy! I'm always trying to find the most natural ways to get rid of dry lips. I've been totally digging coconut butter lately. I've always used it, but not that much on the lips! If anything else doesn't work, try that :).

Lucia
