While I love comfort all the time, the airport is one place that I will literally never go to dressed in anything that’s not reminiscent of pajamas. Call it lazy, call it whatever, I call it practical.
The airport, to me, is a zone where comfort always takes the cake. Whether you’re hopping on a 2-hour flight or settling in for a long haul 8+ hour flight, you want to feel comfortable while you sit, wait, blog, read, or twiddle your thumbs.
Two weeks ago, I went on holiday in Mexico for my cousins [beautiful] wedding. When getting ready to head to the airport I thought of a few things:
- The planes always seem cold. I hate that. So, a big cozy sweater is a must.
- When we land, it’s going to be HOT, so layer appropriate – hello, tank tops!
- You may want to sleep on the plane, and I can never sleep without a blanket (yes, even in the summer) so back a scarf. Who knows, maybe it can double up as a sarong when we arrive! Oh, and bring an extra one for a pillow – having a second one I don’t use as a sarong could prove useful on the plane ride, and if it’s cold once we land back home.
- Comfy, floaty pants are a must. Comment below and let me know if you’re like this, too: Whenever I am on an airplane, I get super bloated. It must be a combination of the food, the air pressure, and the lack of water. So, when I fly I pretty much always go for a pair of comfortable, stretchy, lightweight pants like these super comfy Miik Silvie slouch pant.
So, I layered up for the flight, and also added a few essentials to my carry-on. Whenever I fly somewhere with a different climate than the one I am living in, I always pack an outfit I can change into at the airport. In this case, I brought a simple crop top and a pair of flip-flops.
Who else is all about that #ComfyCozyFlightLife?
