AUTUMN, Style, WINTER ·

feeling fall

Reading Time: 3 minutes
Outfit Details: jacket from LuLu*s, Scarf (old) similar here, Bag from Steve Madden, Pants from American Eagle, Boots from Aldo, Lipstick from Urban Decay (see full review here)
This long weekend has been nothing short of magical. I’ve had three (and now four) amazing days of walks in the park, trying new little local coffee shops (yep, J & I went on a little coffee shop hop) and shopping. If you follow me on FB or Twitter than chances are you saw that I was struggling to decide whether or not to buy this blue brocade printed dress from RW&Co during our Saturday shopping trip; and guess what? I bought it.
Anyways, the outfit in this post was taken during our Sunday walk through the park that is nearby one of our favourite little coffee shops. We stopped at the coffee shop in the morning and decided to take a little stroll through the park to see all the salmon swimming upstream in the little park creeks. It’s pretty neat to see all the salmon fishtailing their way up the rocky slops. Plus, the park was decorated colourfully in classic autumn tones of beautiful orange, red & yellow leafs. It felt & looked just like a perfect fall weekend.
This sort of look is definitely a go-to style of mine for a weekend on-the-go outfit. Whenever J & I are spending a day together I need to dress for a day of endless possibilities. I never know if we’ll end up going on a hike, to a cute new restaurant,  at a friends house or even stomping through creeks to see salmon swimming upstream; so clearly, these sorts of days call for an outfit that can go from one extreme to another.
______________________
Though this has been a great long weekend, I don’t want to lose track of the meaning behind this is a long weekend. It’s the Remembrance Day long weekend and I will be attending a service today to show my respect for all the men & women who’ve put their lives on the line for our freedom.

Single-use items are used for a short time, but they have a lasting impact on our environment. I believe nature is sacred and we need to cherish it, support it, and respect it. That’s why when I go on a hike I always make sure to bring my reusable water bottle.

Carrying a reusable water bottle is a simple Superhabit that you can implement anywhere you go! So this summer stay hydrated and stay environmentally responsible with a reusable water bottle! #WhatsYourSuperhabit
