I can’t believe that as of tomorrow we are officially entering into April. It feels like I have been counting down to April for forever since we’re finally heading off to Europe this month.
I couldn’t be more thrilled that March flew by, as now France, Italy, and the Netherlands feel finally within reach! Since we’re nearly in April, it’s high time to really begin brightening up our styles, and I’m doing just that today with Fine Finds Boutique.
Fine Finds Boutique is a beautiful store located in Yaletown that carries many local and Canadian brands. With their focus being on unique gifts (I particularly love their cheeky cards!) and women’s high fashion, Fine Finds Boutique has become a place I love to stop in at to see the latest trends and unique pieces.
Floral prints and bright pieces always come into play come spring. It’s the time of year that we finally get to shed a few layers and change the direction of our style.
While not everyone may be ready to tuck away their cozy knits and snow-ready boots, I sure am – and I am not hesitating with jumping into my favourite spring trends.
How to Wear Floral Prints this Spring
Mix it with Leather:
Toughen up your floral pieces by pairing them with a contrasting texture, like leather. This leather and knit crop-top paired with the floral skirt creates a more balanced and visually intriguing overall look. Add on a pair of cage heels and you’ve created a look that combines ladylike prints with toughened up fashion.
Go for the Unexpected:
This flower printed skirt may be floral, but it’s not the typical print we’re used to seeing. This print almost has a tropical vibe to it which makes it really unique. This sort of print paired with the fact that it’s almost a velvety texture makes it a really one-of-a-kind piece to have in your wardrobe.
Mix and Match:
Just because you’re wearing one print doesn’t mean you can’t mix and match with a other print. When you’re mixing prints, go for one which is bold and pair it with one that is more subtle. This crop-top is very subtly striped which makes it pair easily with the bold floral skirt.

I know! These first three months have gone by so fast! It’s insanity! So jealous of your upcoming trip! I went to Europe this time last year as well and am dying to go back!
I love the color of that bag, and the shape is so classic!

Bree I like your floral skirt, it really is a great way to pair it with a nice solid color like the black in the skirt, then it shows the skirt off even better… Going to Europe that is so awesome, I hope you have an amazing time and I look forward to all the pictures when the time comes xox
I love florals! Great tips and pretty outfit.
