The Ultimate Gift Guide for Coffee Lovers

Reading Time: 4 minutes

For many of us, our coffee is a part of our daily ritual. We wake up, grab a cup, and head off to work. But sometimes, rather than just having coffee be part of a good ol’ routine, it’s nice to turn it into something a bit more special, a bit more like a treat.

The great part of the holidays is that you can take that thought and apply it to someone else – how can you make someone else’s routine a little bit more magical?

If you’re not sure who your coffee-obsessed friends and family members are, then I’ll let you in on a little secret – all that information is stored on easily Instagram!

Seriously, all you need to do is hop onto Insta, browse through your friends and families photos to see who exactly has posted multiple coffee snapshots. And now that you’ve got that down, it’s officially time to shop the ultimate gift guide for coffee lovers!

The Ultimate Gift Guide for Coffee Lovers

A Nomad Coffee Club Subscription

Coffee lovers typically like to be adventurous with their coffee types. One day they want a strong cuppa jo’ and the next they want something a little lighter. For most of us, coffee is how we gear up for the day ahead.

We wake up feeling groggy and really begin to liven awake with the first few sips of our much-loved coffee. By signing up your coffee-lover for a monthly Nomad Coffee Club subscription you’re able to turn a part of their normal day into something a bit more special.

Rather than just a normal cup of coffee, you’re indulging your friends and family with a coffee that is so much more than just average.

Plus, you never know – you may even end up introducing your coffee-lover to their new favourite brands as each month they are sent a unique and different package highlighting a different Canadian roaster.

If you follow me on Instagram then you likely already saw how Jeremy reacted when I pulled out the new bag of coffee, it was like it was Christmas day!

I am pretty sure he literally said “Oh God, that smells amazing!” as soon as he got a whiff of the coffee. I personally always enjoy having some specialty coffees around the house for when I want to brew up something like a cappuccino or latte right at home.

Especially during these colder months, I like to be able to “bring the cafe” to my home – and Nomad Coffee Club does just that.  Each time we receive a gift from Nomad we are thrilled to have uncovered a coffee brand that we hadn’t heard of before, and now completely love.

A Coffee Press

One of the best little coffee gadgets that Jeremy and I gifted ourselves last Christmas was a manual press espresso maker.

We often turn to our coffee press to make more unique artisan coffees, and have also found that our press is very useful when we go camping!

Yep, that’s right – we’ve found that what is often looked at as a kitchen item also is completely practical for all us outdoorsy folk who love to spend our summers in nature.

A New Cute Mug Set

Chances are if you love coffee, you also love to splurge on chic mugs. I know that when I am drinking a cup of coffee I like to drink it out of an extra-large pretty mug – and if it’s pretty, well that’s just a wonderful bonus, isn’t it?

Cute super-size mugs are the perfect gift to your coffee-lovers life as they won’t only be useful – they’ll also add a bit more glamour to their daily routine.

An Espresso Machine

If you want to go big with your gift then perhaps gift your caffeine addict the ultimate coffee-gift: A Espresso Machine.

An espresso machine offers your coffee lover the option to make themselves decadent coffees right in the comfort of their home – no trek out to a cafe required.

A few years ago I gave Jer an espresso machine and I have never seen someone get so excited about a gift!

Within moments of getting the machine he had it unpacked and ready to use. We spent the day drinking espressos and stayed awake all night raving about how much we loved the new addition to our kitchen.

Espresso Cups

If your coffee lover has an espresso machine, or you’re giving them an espresso machine and are looking for a fun side accessory – then grab some espresso cups! These teeny tiny little cups are perfect for the espresso fiend in your life.

Coffee Addict Clothes

If you have a girl on your list who loves fashion and coffee, well then I just found the perfect gift for you!

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t seem to get enough of these cute t-shirts with playfully true sayings on them.

The truth is, you don’t want to talk to me before I have my coffee – so why not just have it on a shirt loud and clear for everyone to see?

If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want to spend all of my spare time off grid, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and mountains — I would’ve told you that you were crazy... But here we are 🤷‍♀️😂🌲💛 #WhereLifeLeads
“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛

I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the loss and illness that so many have experienced from C. It has been an extraordinarily hard two years for many, many people, for all sorts of different reasons and it is not my aim to diminish any of them. What I am trying to express is that we are at a breaking point societally.

If we continue to move forward with coercion, mandates, restrictions, and divisive passports based on fear (or a hope) then we risk setting precedents that we may not be comfortable leaning on in the future. We also risk dividing our society to such a degree that may make it difficult, if not impossible, to ever bring back together. Despite all of the debates, arguments, and comments made over the last few years, I do not believe that deep down Canadians want to live in a state of perpetual division.

If this is not the time to unite and end these mandates, when is? It is our systems that are broken, and they have been broken for a very long time. We all know this. Let's unite and fix them, and more together 💛

Creating our own peace ☮️

Nearing the end of 2021, one thing that Jer & I wanted to prioritize was creating our own peace. Life has been exhausting for the last long while and, like most people, our mental well-being suffered from the current state of Canada. We knew we needed to make some changes, add something to our lives to remove us (even temporarily, now and again) from the chaos that is now the “new normal”. So, we began making road trips around BC to find our very own home away from home. I feel immensely lucky to now have this remote sanctuary in our lives. It is somewhere we can go when life gets too overwhelming, somewhere we could live eventually if life continues to be overwhelming. In just the first few days here, I’ve already felt a shift in my mindset. I feel incredibly lucky to have this place and already it feels like home. 💖
✨Growing pains✨ . . . 2021, for many of us, w ✨Growing pains✨
. . .
2021, for many of us, was a year of growth. Some of it was painful, most of it inspiring, and all of it necessary. Sometimes growing means needing to shed the older versions of ourselves and sometimes that can be difficult or cause a loss in friendships or relationships. It can be challenging - believe me, I get it. But, anything or anyone who couldn't respect your growth then won't respect your future growth. While growth can be painful it is not nearly as painful as the dull consistent ache of feeling stuck.
