Some New Years celebrations are big, filled with champagne, confetti and lots of friends; other celebrations are a little more calm and simple – spent with just a few close friends or that special someone. This year I had a calm and quiet NYE with Jer. We went out for a lovely dinner and then to American Hustle.
For our New Years dinner I decided to wear this boxing day steal black & gold brocade dress from Rickis. The dress caught my eye in store immediately with it’s classic & polished print & fit. I decided to style this prim look with my hair in loose effortless curls, monochrome accessories and high black suede heels. The black & gold studded handbag and golden nails add a modern edge to this classic dress while keeping it’s elegance in tact.
Over dinner we discussed a few of our New Year goals which mainly consisted of us making more of a team effort to get healthier by doing yoga, starting to juice regularly/daily, and trying out new healthy recipes. We have also decided that January is going to be “dryuary” – a month of zero drinking calories; this means no alcohol, no store bought juices, or coffee.
How was your New Year’s Eve?
