Benefit Hoola Bronzer Review
The Benefit Hoola Bronzer that has been on my Beauty Wish List for some time.
I have always been a bit hesitant to wear bronzers because I’ve found many of them to have an orange undertone which doesn’t suit my skin-tone.
I had seen Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer in Sephora a number of times but passed it up – even when the sales woman at Sephora read my mind and said “it’d be great for your skin because it doesn’t have any orange undertone!” I was still skeptical!
But, I went home and started doing some research on it and after reading many, many, many reviews of Hoola, claiming it was the perfect bronzer, I decided to give it a try.
The formula is a matte formula.
I am really enjoying the fact that it is a matte brown in particular because I am not a fan of shiny bronzers. I often find shiny or shimmery bronzers fail to look natural.
It is a tad on the expensive side coming in at $28.00 on both the Sephora & Benefit websites, and I believe it’s a whooping $36.00 here in Canada.
But I will say if you’re fair skintoned and you’ve struggled with finding a natural, proper looking bronzer than this would be good to look into – just go to Sephora and test it out. I think once you test it you may end up walking out with it!

I've owned Hoola for a few months now, but I find every time I applied it it was painfully obvious and, well, not nice looking. I've given up recently. I think I have been applying it poorly. I may have to try again. It looks really lovely on you!
It definitely needs to be blended in with a blending brush pretty heavily. I apply it first with the brush it comes in, just in "lines" and then blend it out. I find that makes it easier to blend into the spots you want it blended! Not sure if that all made sense lol sorry! 🙂
I totally understand! I tried using it again and blended much more (and with a bigger brush) and it made a huge difference. It looks so great and I totally understand why I paid how much I did for it!
I've been wondering about this product, because with Benefit anything goes. HaHa It gave you a nice warm glow Bree. I'm still using Jergens Natural Glow.
Is Jergens good? I am always scared to use self tanners – streaks! Yikes! Benefit products I always find fab, this is really no exception! 🙂
I've never tried Hoola before but I really like how natural it looks on your skin!
Fizz and Frosting
Awe thanks! It's really great, I've found it really blend-able.
Sounds and looks amazing! It's kinda expensive indeed. I would love to try it out. And the box is so cute, never seen a box like that for a bronzer.
Big kiss,

It's pricey, but I've yet to find a cheaper bronzer that is matte and not orange-tinted! Hard to find, I'll keep searching though! Hoola is amazing but the price freaks me out a bit hahaha!
Nice and subtle! You have really amazing skin, too!
Awe thank you, Alyssa! <3
This is my all time fave bronzer. Mine has nearly run out so someone suggested a bourjois one – doesn't even compare 🙁 think i'm going to have to re-invest, although massively tempted by NARS laguna xx
Awe really? Sad to hear the bourjois is only so-so! I love hoola but the price of course is steep…. its worthwhile though to avoid the dreaded orange-face look! 😛
I'm fairly pale, and all bronzers are too orange or glittery, so I need to check this one out! The price tag scares me away though! ha
The price tag is totally terrifying, won't deny that ahhah! I hate all the glittery/shiny bronzers – so unnatural looking. This is the first I am able to wear as both a bronzer as well as a contour.
I swear by this stuff! Bronzer from the Gods!

I am loving it so much for contouring! x
I absolutely adore this! It's a really lovely bronzer and what I love about it is that it doesn't look muddy or orange on me! :)) I need to get a new one cuz mine is pretty much gone now!
Love,
Andrea
Exactly, I like that it's matte and totally not orange. It's a great contour and bronzer!
Oh I like the way that looks! I thought it was more orangey as well since it kind of looks that way – but glad to see it doesn't. I'm doubting between getting this one or a bronzer by NARS as they are raved about too..
NAR's is always amazing but I have yet to try Laguna! This colour just really suits my sort of pale skin so I am just so happy to have found a bronzer that actually works for me. It's a great contour colour and very blend-able!
Your skin looks glowing! Great review.
