Whenever the seasons change, my skin always seems to be thrown out of whack. Suddenly my skin looks drier and feels rougher, and begins to appear duller.

Since I love glowy, healthy, beautiful skin from head to toe, I am always on the hunt for body products that I can take with me throughout the day (such as great hand lotions) and will gently hydrate my skin.

I’ve said it many times (and knowing me, I’ll say it many more!) but my skin is quite sensitive. It’s why each season I struggle with achieving balanced skin. And, it’s also why I try to take time to find brands and products that help hydrate and balance sensitive skin. AVEENO has always been one of those brands for me.

Growing up, I used AVEENO skincare and bodycare regularly to help keep my skin clear and soft. In fact, AVEENO was the first brand I turned to when I began battling temperamental skin as a teenager.

How to Get Rid of Rough Dry Skin

The truth about dry skin is that what is really is is neglected skin. Skin that is cared for year-round really doesn’t have as many issues with dryness or irritation because it’s being nourished and moisturized consistently. But if you’re like me, and tend to neglect your skincare a bit during the winter months, then chances are you’re on the hunt for a few “miracle products” to help get your skin back to looking healthy and feeling soft.   AVEENO skincare has always been a go-to of mine to help remedy dry skin. For me, AVEENO products have always worked, and I love how affordable they are. vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, fashion styles, vancouver fashion blogger, top fashion blogs, popular fashion blogs, top style blogs, the urban umbrella style blog, aveeno skin relief hand cream, aveeno skin relief moisturizing lotion, aveeno skin relief gel wash, aveeno skin relief review, how to get rid of dry skinvancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, fashion styles, vancouver fashion blogger, top fashion blogs, popular fashion blogs, top style blogs, the urban umbrella style blog, aveeno skin relief hand cream, aveeno skin relief moisturizing lotion, aveeno skin relief gel wash, aveeno skin relief review, how to get rid of dry skin

AVEENO Skincare Gel Wash – $7.99 – $8.99 CAD

When it comes to dry skin, taking care of it starts in the shower. Intense soaps that strip your skin of all moisture turn healthy glowy skin into a dry, irritated mess. AVEENO skin relief gel wash is super easy on your skin and gently scrubs away grim from your day without drying out your skin. This body wash is also fragrance-free which is just another thing I LOVE about AVEENO skincare gel wash

AVEENO Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion – $19.99 CAD

Once you’re out of the shower, the next step to getting healthy moisturized skin is by using a moisturizing lotion. AVEENO skin relief lotion is super hydrating and instantly relieves the feeling and look of dry irritated skin. This lotion is formulated with natural colloidal oatmeal and menthol to instantly cool and relieve dry itchy skin. I’ve used AVEENO moisturizing lotions for years, and this one has definitely made it to my beauty “Love” list.

AVEENO Skincare Relief Hand Cream – $9.99 CAD

Working with paper, washing dishes, and going for jogs outside takes a pretty major toll on my hands, and typically leaves them feeling dry and rough. While I may not work in construction or a job that is heavily “hands-on”, just the simple (and mundane) tasks of daily life dehydrate my skin enough that at times my hands have felt achy and sore from being so dry. AVEENO skincare relief hand cream hand care lotion is a game-changing product for all of us who struggle with dry painful hands. This hand cream has oat proteins in it which help prevent moisture loss and protects skin. I love that while the product isn’t teeny tiny, it can still fit nicely in my purse so that I can moisturize my skin on the go.

I have really sensitive skin so in addition to loving how gentle Aveeno is, I also love that it’s nourishing and not at all oily! I’ve used this in combination with St. Ives Shea Butter & Oatmeal shower gel (I think that’s what it’s called) and it’s a dream on my skin in the winter.

If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want to spend all of my spare time off grid, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and mountains — I would’ve told you that you were crazy... But here we are 🤷‍♀️😂🌲💛 #WhereLifeLeads
“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛

I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the loss and illness that so many have experienced from C. It has been an extraordinarily hard two years for many, many people, for all sorts of different reasons and it is not my aim to diminish any of them. What I am trying to express is that we are at a breaking point societally.

If we continue to move forward with coercion, mandates, restrictions, and divisive passports based on fear (or a hope) then we risk setting precedents that we may not be comfortable leaning on in the future. We also risk dividing our society to such a degree that may make it difficult, if not impossible, to ever bring back together. Despite all of the debates, arguments, and comments made over the last few years, I do not believe that deep down Canadians want to live in a state of perpetual division.

If this is not the time to unite and end these mandates, when is? It is our systems that are broken, and they have been broken for a very long time. We all know this. Let's unite and fix them, and more together 💛

Creating our own peace ☮️

Nearing the end of 2021, one thing that Jer & I wanted to prioritize was creating our own peace. Life has been exhausting for the last long while and, like most people, our mental well-being suffered from the current state of Canada. We knew we needed to make some changes, add something to our lives to remove us (even temporarily, now and again) from the chaos that is now the “new normal”. So, we began making road trips around BC to find our very own home away from home. I feel immensely lucky to now have this remote sanctuary in our lives. It is somewhere we can go when life gets too overwhelming, somewhere we could live eventually if life continues to be overwhelming. In just the first few days here, I’ve already felt a shift in my mindset. I feel incredibly lucky to have this place and already it feels like home. 💖
✨Growing pains✨ . . . 2021, for many of us, w ✨Growing pains✨
. . .
2021, for many of us, was a year of growth. Some of it was painful, most of it inspiring, and all of it necessary. Sometimes growing means needing to shed the older versions of ourselves and sometimes that can be difficult or cause a loss in friendships or relationships. It can be challenging - believe me, I get it. But, anything or anyone who couldn't respect your growth then won't respect your future growth. While growth can be painful it is not nearly as painful as the dull consistent ache of feeling stuck.
