I cherish my weekends. After waking up at 5AM all week, I look forward to sleeping in a bit, catching up on my favourite blogs, sipping my favourite Amoda Teas (French Lemon Creme & Orange Blossom are my favourites!) and spending time working on my own. I think it’s important to create a little retreat at home after a busy week. We can’t always just jet away on a vacation each and every weekend, so I try to create a peaceful weekend ritual to get my mind back on track.
On the weekends, I find it so hard to just get up and go. I’d rather just stay snuggled up in bed, cosy and comfy in my PJs. I used to force myself to get up, but now I allow myself to relax a little bit with my favourite book. I’ve been reading Cameron Diaz’s “The Body Book” for a while now, and my biggest problem with getting through it was that I would power read for a few days and then get busy and forget to read it. Now that I’ve been able to carve out a little time each Saturday & Sunday morning to read, I feel like I am zipping through this book. Reading “The Body Book” first thing in the morning really motivates me to have a healthier outlook on the day ahead.
One thing that motivates me to hop out of bed and get started with my day is my morning cup of coffee or tea. While I love my coffee, I’ve always been a tea person. Growing up, my family had tea every single day; I’d wake up and enjoy a cup of Earl Grey tea, and before bed, we’d treat ourselves to a fruity herbal tea.
When Amoda Tea recently contacted me and offered to send over a few of their teas, I was so excited to try them out. I’m such a fan of bold fruity herbal teas and so they created a little kit for me which included a few flavours they’d thought I’d like. On Sunday, I sipped Amoda’s Orange Blossom Tea which was a delicious zesty tea that was the perfect drink to wake me up for the day.
Amoda Tea online, you can either choose your own teas, or you can subscribe to their Monthly Tea Box. You can even just purchase teas in sampler sizes & tasting sets so you can try the tea before fully committing. One thing I thought of was that the Monthly Tea Box would make a really neat gift for the tea-lover in your life. What I really love about Amoda Tea is that they are a company which focuses on providing ethically sourced teas that are both natural and healthy for you.
