Aside from that, we have a few plans that are still yet to be confirmed, but I’ll be sure to let you all in on our exciting end of summer plans once we know them! Mostly I am hoping to get in a few camping trips, a lot of hikes, and a ton of days at the beach. How will you be filling up the final weeks of summer?

Graphic t-shirts have really been grabbing my attention lately, but especially these two from MoodCatz. Their cute sayings actually really jumped out to me because I really do relate to them. I love spending the cool summer days hiking with a big bottle of water + a thermos of coffee (or mocha’s), and bright sunny days at the beach – pretending to be a mermaid in the ocean.
Sometimes I can find that I’ll idealize a season, for example I can think of winter as a beautiful snow covered wonderland – and then once winter comes I am counting the days for it to pass. But this has never been the case for summer. Even while we’re in the midst of it, its magic is never lost for me. In fact, rather than looking forward to the seasons to come – I am trying to soak up every last second of summer. The next few weeks will be filled with days in the sun, trips around BC, and lots of hikes + beach days. Click through to find out more on what will be going on this august!
This August is going to be an exciting one. Next weekend we’re having our annual family BBQ which is always a really fun filled day. Then the following weekend is J’s youngest brother’s wedding, and I honestly can’t wait. I love weddings, and I love little getaways out of the city so I am really looking forward to this.Over the next few weeks we’ll also be planning out our engagement party which will be this September – exciting! We weren’t sure at first if we should or shouldn’t have an engagement party, but in the end we decided to go ahead with it. It’s nice to get everyone together – and hey, we’re only engaged once, right?!
