One thing you likely already know is how much I love Farmer’s Markets, and it’s just one way I’ve been enjoying this beauty city of ours lately. I’ve made a promise to myself to go weekly to grab our weeks produce. I love stocking up on delicious kale, berries, and fruits. Last weekend we stopped in at the Kitsilano Farmer’s Market to grab our week’s groceries & to listen to some beautiful live music. It was such a bright and sunny day it was the perfect excuse to break out my new Polette sunglasses, and my ol’ favouite black maxi dress. Over the last few months I’ve been eying up these wood frame sunglasses, and finally I’ve taken the plunge to snag them for myself. If you love these sunnies, or anything else from Polette than be sure to use the code “Speccy” to receive 15% off your purchase!
This entire week has really felt like its fit the theme of Canada Day for me. I’ve been more inclined than ever to get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful country I live in. I’ve gone to Farmer’s Markets, walked the sea wall, and strolled through stanley park. On Canada Day I wanted to be sure to really get out and enjoy the things I truly love about this beautiful place.
I spent my Canada Day checking out the festivities around town, and then zipped just outside of Vancouver to go for a quick hike up Dog Mountain. I love hiking; it’s one of my favourite things to do during the summer season – even when its 34 degrees out like it was on Wednesday. I find it really a really rewarding activity because not only is it great exercise, it’s also a great way to really see the place you live in.
I couldn’t help thinking that there was no better way to really appreciate the place I live in quite like sitting up at the top of Dog Mountain taking in all the beauty below us. If you don’t follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (both @urbanumbrella29) than you’re missing out on some really cool hiking shots!
