During the fall and winter, I have a tendency to stick to my old favourites. While it may sound dramatic, sometimes I truly am just surviving the winter months rather than living it. I simply am just not one of those bloggers who jumps for joy at the hint of seasons change. I like the freedom of warmth and the ease of summer.
Cozy cardigans, turtlenecks, and jeans in dark moody hues quickly become my first and final go-to’s throughout the winter season and I forget just how much I miss unique silhouettes and exciting prints. Thankfully, fellow fashion bloggers Laura from Walking in Memphis in High Heels, and Erin from The Fashion Canvas, have helped break my winter style habit by challenging me to play with prints this week!
This winter I really have stuck to the basics – heck, I even JUST wrote a post on how to master minimalist style this winter! But, while I love simplistic looks – there’s something really eye-catching and fun about a great print. If there’s one print I have always been drawn to, it’s leopard. Leopard print is pretty much a neutral in my mind. I adore how it adds a bit of attitude to a basic look, and how it mixes with other prints.
