Now that the holidays are basically here, and we’re all gearing up for a month of gift-shopping, holiday parties, and family gatherings, I am getting more and more excited about holiday styles. For the last couple days, all I’ve been able to focus on has been rich reds, forrest greens, pretty plaid prints, and stunning metallics. Funnily enough though, just a short few days ago I was dreading some of the holiday fun that I typically so love – gift shopping, decorating, eggnog…It actually took brewing up our traditional holiday Hot Apple Cider Recipe, watching Elf, & hearing cheery Christmas music over the radio to finally get me into the holiday spirit.
Typically well by this time, I have already decorated our house, completed my holiday shopping & am sitting around sipping eggnog while singing my favourite Christmas tunes, but this year I’ve been sluggish getting started on my typical holiday traditions. Heck, when I lived at home I wanted to set up our family tree basically as soon as Halloween was over! My lazy approach to the holidays may have been because the last few months have been so busy, or maybe all the incredible sunshine we’ve been blessed with; but after a weekend of holiday-infused fun, I am completely re-energized and ready to holiday-ify our apartment.
