Day to day, my style is pretty laid back and casual. I love dressing up for special occasions, but Monday through to Friday I really enjoy just wearing comfy, casual, simple styles.
I recently grabbed these Rockstar Jeans from Old Navy and since then I’ve pretty much either been wearing them or my Mott & Bow Jeans whenever I go out.
Recently though, I was running to the store and I just threw on my Old Navy Jeans, this old denim button-up, and my new Cougar shoes, and it dawned on me just how much I loved the whole denim on denim look (aka, the Canadian Tuxedo).

The Trick to Wearing Denim on Denim
While I know some people just aren’t fans of the denim + denim look, another big reason people are nervous to wear pieces of denim together is because they aren’t quite sure how. Well, let me tell you this: it’s super easy.
All you have to do is make sure your denim pieces aren’t overly matchy-matchy. Pair light denim with dark denim, or even black denim. This will help you avoid that 1999 Justin Timberlake + Britney Spears look.

The other thing I love to pair with my denim/denim outfits are a good pair of slip-ons. These Cougar Chico Leather Slip-On shoes have become my go-to pair lately and I just love how they complete this denim ensemble.
So, now I just gotta know: would you wear denim on denim?
