Kerastase Discipline Hair Products & Volume in Powder Spray Review

Reading Time: 4 minutes

The Kerastase Discipline Hair Products & Volume in Powder Spray were sent to me in a PR package. This is not a paid sponsored post. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE, Volume In Powder Spray, Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase discipline hair line review

For years now, I have about the magic that is Kerastase hair care. Their products are well-known for being high quality and providing great results. They are also known for having a fairly steep price tag, which is why I’ve always been fairly hesitant to try them out. When I received a few Kerastase hair care products in a random PR package, I was surprised and excited to try out the line. I have since used the entire hair shampoo, conditioner, and pre-styling cream and I feel that now I can share my full results and thoughts with you all.   Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE, Volume In Powder Spray, Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase discipline hair line review

Kerastase Discipline Hair Care Review

Kerastase Packaging:

Before I dive into the specifics about each product, I wanted to discuss the packaging. Now, initially, I thought the packaging was really beautiful and luxurious. The lids are a beautiful copper, the bottle is a soft orange coral. The issue with the shampoo, conditioner, and pre-styling milk is that the lids entirely twist -ff which means they aren’t attached. If you try to put the lid back on after getting some of the product then you run the risk of dropping nearly all the products on the ground. I personally find this to be an annoying design flaw. Not everyone has a ledge in their shower to put the lid on while they rinse their hair. I really don’t like to just leave my shampoo and conditioner bottles open as a suds my hair up because I don’t like water getting into the bottles and diluting the product. I found this same issue with the Schwarzkopf BLONDME products I tried a month ago. Alright – rant over!   Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE, Volume In Powder Spray, Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase discipline hair line review

Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE

The shampoo of the bunch is the Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE. It aims to hydrate hair, eliminate tangles, and nourish hair from root to tip. I really liked this shampoo and found that it did really hydrate and soften my hair. It is absolutely a great product, and it does what it claims, but to me, $45.00 for 250ml is still a lot for a product and I really want to be blown away by a product if it’s going to cost me that much. While I was impressed with this shampoo and liked the results, it just didn’t outperform my favourite REDAVID Orchid Oil hair care line.   Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE, Volume In Powder Spray, Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase discipline hair line review

Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE

Again, like the shampoo, this is a very nice product. The Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE is a very rich and creamy conditioner that adds hydration and moisture back into the hair. Even when once used a minute or two, I did find that it made my hair feel like it had been deep conditioned. Like the shampoo though, this also comes with a steep price tag. For 250ml you are paying $50.00 which seems very high. While it was a really nice conditioner and I really liked it, I also know that I go through hair products quickly and so I would be spending quite a bit on hair care per month if I stuck with this product. Currently, this product just doesn’t fit my budget.   Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE, Volume In Powder Spray, Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase discipline hair line review

Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE

My favourite part of any hair care line is typically the leave-in products. They are typically the products that are either a total hit, or a total miss. While my hair needs moisturizing products, it is easy for products to be overly hydrating and leave your hair feeling oily or thick. I found that the Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE hit the perfect balance of hydration, and I was really impressed by how soft and healthy it made my hair look. This pre-styling milk is supposed to protect your hair up to 180º C/356º F* and I really found that it did protect and smooth my hair when I styled it. I have dry/frizz-prone hair so to see my hair look so smooth and healthy after blow drying it (and not needing to follow-up with a straightener) was really exciting for me. Unfortunately, though, this product is the most expensive from the line at $49.00 for just 150ml.   Kerastase DISCIPLINE KERATINE THERMIQUE, Volume In Powder Spray, Kerastase DISCIPLINE FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase DISCIPLINE BAIN FLUIDEALISTE, Kerastase discipline hair line review

Volume In Powder Spray

If you’re looking for a great texturizing spray then this may be it for you. I was really impressed by how thick and full the Volume in Powder Spray made my hair look while not adding any crunchiness or stickiness to my hair. It really is an excellent volumizing product, and I’ve been impressed by how long it has lasted me. I’ve had these products since June, and I still have a lot of the Volume in Powder Spray left! For 250ml you pay $41.00, but like I mentioned this is a product that really seems to last, and to me is more worth the price tag.

Single-use items are used for a short time, but they have a lasting impact on our environment. I believe nature is sacred and we need to cherish it, support it, and respect it. That’s why when I go on a hike I always make sure to bring my reusable water bottle.

Carrying a reusable water bottle is a simple Superhabit that you can implement anywhere you go! So this summer stay hydrated and stay environmentally responsible with a reusable water bottle! #WhatsYourSuperhabit

“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛
