I don’t know if you ever go through clothing “phases” (please tell me I’m not alone here!), but lately I’ve been having a serious phase with turtle necks. When it’s cold and dark in the mornings, there’s nothing that looks and feels more inviting than a cozy turtle neck.
Since grabbing this skirt a few weeks back, I’ve been trying to figure out just how to style it for our extra-cold and brisk weather and up until this point I hadn’t been able to. This past weekend I tried once again, and as I was standing in front of my closet doors looking for something to cozy-up my striped mini, I could hear Jer saying “seriously, we are just going for coffee!”
Now, if there’s one thing that bugs Jeremy, it has to be my ability to spend hours trying on, and changing outfits. He’s a “throw it on and go” kind of guy, and I’m a “wait, there’s got to be a better option” kind of girl. So, as he was rushing me out to go for coffee (and was having none of my fickleness) I decided to take a page from his style book and just “throw something on”. What ended up was this cozy meets feminine combination, and honestly I kind of like it – maybe the “throw-it-on-and-go” style guide has something to it.
