Lise Watier Liquid Eyeliner Review

Reading Time: 4 minutes
Updated March 29, 2019

If you’ve been following my blog for a while now then you absolutely would have read about my wild love for Lise Watier’s Liquid Eye Liner.

I have used it for about two years now and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to use another liquid liner again.

You know when bloggers say something is their “holy grail” product? Well, this is my “holy grail” product.

Lise Watier Liquid Eyeliner Review

COLOUR:

The colour applies jet black and, unlike many other liquid liners, it stays jet black all day long. I wear this colour from 6AM to about 7PM at night and it never fades. On occasion I have even worn this liner out after work and even then it still lasts well past midnight.

FORMULA:

The formula is quite thin + liquidy which initially makes it seem like it would be difficult to work with or slow to dry, but in fact, this liner dries down extremely quickly. And, the flexible thin tip wand makes it very easy to apply.  I give myself about 25 minutes total to get ready before work. Yes, only 25 mins to fix up my hair, get my makeup on, pick out an outfit for the day, and whip up a quick lunch. So, I really don’t have time to wait around with my eyes closed for my eyeliner to dry. I love that this liner applies so easily and dries down so quickly so that I can get ready in a rush.  Prior to using the Lise Watier Liquid Eyeliner, I used MAC’s liquid eyeliner and the drying time was always a huge problem for me, it would take forever and I’d always end up with black liner transferring onto my eye-lid crease.
  COST: $22 CAD

Lise Watier Liquid Eyeliner Dupes?

I have tried many black eyeliners and none of them have ever worked as well for me as this one has. I personally don’t feel anything has yet blown me away quite like the Lise Watier Liquid Eyeliner has. If you have a “holy grail” liquid liner though then let me know and I’ll check it out!
Update March 29, 2019: This eyeliner is still one of my very favourite eyeliners, and I use it all the time. However, I have found a few other eyeliners that I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a different kind of applicator, such as: It Cosmetics Superhero Liner (I also shared a easy step by step cat eye makeup tutorial using this eyeliner) Stila Stay All Day Liner Stila Stay All Day Liner

WHERE CAN I BUY IT?

This can be purchased online, or you can also find it at Shoppers Drug-marts (in Canada)
What else am I wearing? EYES: Urban Decay Primer Potion (review coming), Tease eyeshadow from the Naked2 Palette, Maybelline’s Falsies Mascara. FACE: Legendary blush from Mac Cosmetics Marilyn Monroe limited edition line (no longer available), Hoola by Benefit Lips: Please Me by MAC Cosmetics

If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want to spend all of my spare time off grid, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and mountains — I would’ve told you that you were crazy... But here we are 🤷‍♀️😂🌲💛 #WhereLifeLeads
“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛

I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the loss and illness that so many have experienced from C. It has been an extraordinarily hard two years for many, many people, for all sorts of different reasons and it is not my aim to diminish any of them. What I am trying to express is that we are at a breaking point societally.

If we continue to move forward with coercion, mandates, restrictions, and divisive passports based on fear (or a hope) then we risk setting precedents that we may not be comfortable leaning on in the future. We also risk dividing our society to such a degree that may make it difficult, if not impossible, to ever bring back together. Despite all of the debates, arguments, and comments made over the last few years, I do not believe that deep down Canadians want to live in a state of perpetual division.

If this is not the time to unite and end these mandates, when is? It is our systems that are broken, and they have been broken for a very long time. We all know this. Let's unite and fix them, and more together 💛

Creating our own peace ☮️

Nearing the end of 2021, one thing that Jer & I wanted to prioritize was creating our own peace. Life has been exhausting for the last long while and, like most people, our mental well-being suffered from the current state of Canada. We knew we needed to make some changes, add something to our lives to remove us (even temporarily, now and again) from the chaos that is now the “new normal”. So, we began making road trips around BC to find our very own home away from home. I feel immensely lucky to now have this remote sanctuary in our lives. It is somewhere we can go when life gets too overwhelming, somewhere we could live eventually if life continues to be overwhelming. In just the first few days here, I’ve already felt a shift in my mindset. I feel incredibly lucky to have this place and already it feels like home. 💖
✨Growing pains✨ . . . 2021, for many of us, w ✨Growing pains✨
. . .
2021, for many of us, was a year of growth. Some of it was painful, most of it inspiring, and all of it necessary. Sometimes growing means needing to shed the older versions of ourselves and sometimes that can be difficult or cause a loss in friendships or relationships. It can be challenging - believe me, I get it. But, anything or anyone who couldn't respect your growth then won't respect your future growth. While growth can be painful it is not nearly as painful as the dull consistent ache of feeling stuck.
