outfit details: H&M Crinkled Skirt (available in black online), Talula Manzanita Tank (available in red and black)
This weekend I am heading off to Toronto and I am already getting those pre-travel jitters. This trip will be a first for me as I’ve never really flown alone, and I’ve never been to Toronto! (Speaking of which, I hear it’s quite humid right now – what should I pack!?). Though I’ll just be there for one day (details to come on why!) I am still looking forward to getting a quick glimpse of Toronto.
Earlier this week, J and I went out to Cardero’s for a few
tapas and drinks to celebrate my spontaneous trip to Toronto. I took our little outing as the perfect opportunity to break
in a few of my favourite new pieces – this deep burgundy Talula crop top and H and M crinkled lilac skirt! Lilac is such a pretty and unique colour, though it seems to be one of those colours I simply do not have enough of in my closet! Since wearing this skirt out to Carderos, I’ve been surprised to find that it doesn’t just dress up beautifully, it also dresses down perfectly! Who would’ve thought such a prim skirt could pair prettily with a more on-trend crop and then also with a classic black t-shirt? Since I’ve already worn this skirt three times this week, I’m thinking this it may end of as one of my most worn, most versatile and most-lived-in pieces!

Pretty look! The crop top looks great with the full skirt. It has cooled down here in Toronto, bring a sweater! If you have time to explore a bit Queen West is pretty cool. The Art Gallery of Ontario is also really nice. Have a great time! Let us know the reason for your trip 😉

Such a pretty outfit! Love your nail colour….could you please share the colour?
Hey Chrissy! It's Sally Hansen nail polish in "Punch Drunk". I picked it up a few months ago and it's still one of my absolute favourites =) xx
Love the texture of that skirt! And the color combo is perfect! Can't wait to start wearing all my burgundy!
I've never flown alone either, and really just started flying like 3 years ago…but eventually I'll be brave enough to do it!
