Originally, I was drawn to the brighter, bolder hues (which are all really stunning too!) but once my eyes landed on Anita, I was sold. Though I love bright lipsticks, I tend to wear softer tones daily; Anita looked like a colour that would fit into my daily beauty routine to create that natural “no makeup-makeup look” that I love so much.
NARS Anita Audacious Lipstick Review
NARs never disappoints with their packaging. Staying true to their simple & chic designs, Audacious lipsticks are packaged in sleek matte black lipstick tubes. The tubes close with a snap due to a magnetic edging, ensuring that you’re lipstick will never open and ruin the inside of your purse!
Anita Audacious lipstick described online by NARS as an “antique rose” and I would simply add to that that it is a soft brown-toned pink. It reminds me quite a bit of the popular lip-colour that Kylie Jenner has been sporting, which everyone has been trying recreate all over the blogosphere.
Usually matte lipsticks are quite drying, but there is nothing drying about NARs Audacious lipsticks. They are super creamy and thick, so they actually almost “coat” your lip in colour. I actually really like how heavy this lipstick applies because I find it blurs out any visible dryness on my lips.
The only downside is the price-tag at $32.00. I can’t lie, that is expensive.
Honestly, this is probably the best lipstick I’ve ever purchased and I’ll definitely be re-purchasing it in the future. Even if you’re not drawn to this particular shade, I think the NARs Audacious lipsticks line is one you should try out. It has a very luxurious feel to it and really applies so beautifully.
