NARS Spring 2017 Review
Usbek
Usbek is a Velvet Shadow stick in a deep eggplant purple. This shadow stick easily glides over your eyes to create a bold and intense look. Once applied the shadow has a slight pearly-metallic finish to it. Usbek is a very long-wearing eyeshadow and it is crease resistant. The one downfall with this shadow is that when you blend it out with a brush it does become patchy.Siros
Siros is a stunning warm-toned golden copper eyeshadow stick. Like Usbek, this shadow easily glides over your eyes, but since this colour is so soft it creates a much more natural and wearable finish. This colour became my quick go-to whilst on holiday as it was perfect for both day, beach, and night looks. This shadow stick is very long-wearing and I didn’t find it creased at all. It does not become patchy once blended.Bumpy-Ride
The blush I tried from this collection is Bumpy-Ride. Bumpy-Ride is described on the NARs website as a “Shimmering Candy Pink” but I would describe this colour a more peachy once applied than a pink. It’s been described to have a golden shimmer in it, and while I would say it has a sheen to it, I would not say that it has a strong golden tone to it. In the pan, this colour looks very bright and intimidating but it actually applies very softly. It is a very wearable and long-lasting blush that is perfect for spring.
