A few months ago, I received the Korres Pure Greek Olive Oil at a PR event and ever since I’ve been a pretty big fan of it.
It’s a Face, Hair, and Body oil that add moisture and shine to anywhere you apply it.
At the event, they also mentioned you can use this as a deep conditioning oil treatment which immediately perked up my ears as I love deep conditioning oil treatments.
When my hair is feeling really dry and damaged, I love to do oil treatments on my hair. I have been doing oil treatments for years (maybe even… decades?) and they have always helped bring my hair back to life.
Years ago, when my hair was mega damaged from a terrible bleach job, I used oil treatments to keep my hair from breaking off in chunks. And, when I wanted to grow my hair out, I used oil treatments (and scalp massages) to improve my hair texture and promote growth. So, as you can tell, I love oil treatments.
Now, you may be wondering – what is a hair oiling treatment?
Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like! You basically use oil just like a deep conditioner.
Apply a bit of the oil all over your hair and leave it in for a few hours (you don’t want to use too much so that your hair feels overly slick as that’ll make it more challenging to get out of your hair – plus you don’t want to waste this oil as it is expensive), or overnight if you’re looking for an intense deep conditioning treatment.
I also like to apply the oil to my scalp and do a scalp massage to help promote blood flow to the scalp which in turn promotes hair growth! If you’re not into oil treatments then you can also add this to your favourite hair conditioners to make them a hair care treatment.
Sometimes, I like to create my own DIY oil treatments, but lately, I’ve been using the Korres Pure Greek Olive Nutritious Oil for my oil treatments and I absolutely love it.
JUST FYI – Post Deep-Conditioning Oil Treatment Guide:
You’ll want to use a clarifying shampoo of some kind when you do an oil treatment on your hair. This can leave your scalp feeling oily and occasionally you’ll have to wash your hair twice to really get rid of that oily feeling.
The Korres Pure Greek Olive Nutritious Oil is actually quite lightweight so I haven’t really had many problems with it leaving my hair super oily, but if you have healthier hair or more oily hair than I do, then I recommend you rinse your hair twice.
Once my hair is completely rinsed and dried, I then will add a bit more of the oil just to the ends of my hair to continue treating the most damage-prone part of my hair, and to give it a healthy lustrous shine.
How to use Korres Pure Greek Olive Oil
The Korres Pure Greek Olive Nutritious Oil is an oil for your face, body, and hair. It is a hydrating oil that aims to nourish your skin and your hair and add a beautiful sheen to both your skin and your hair.
You apply just pour a bit of the Korres Pure Greek Olive Oil into your hand and apply it wherever you feel you need a bit of a moisture boost. If your hair is feeling dry, add it onto your ends. If your skin feels dull then apply it there. It’s a super easy product to use!
I love this product so much because it is pretty much a 1-stop shop for moisturization. You can use this to make your skin super soft and silky, you can use it as a deep oil conditioning treatment, or you can use this as a serum to help smooth the ends of your hair.
Did I mention it’s also great as a body moisturizer?
While I haven’t used this oil as a face moisturizer, I do often use it for my body. It’s surprisingly lightweight on your skin so you don’t feel that slick or sticky feeling once you’ve massaged it in. It leaves your skin feeling soft, moisturized, and gives a beautiful soft sheen to your skin. I personally think this will look beautiful in the summer when applied to my legs – I mean, who else loves perfectly smooth shiny legs? (unlike my winter time in-hibernation legs – hehe!)
