Thursday Oct 15. I hosted a fun little event at The Face Shop in Park Royal. As of October 15, 2015, Park Royal was celebrating Simons opening as well as their South west wing expansion. The night before I had had a little sneak peek at Simons and was really blown away and excited to be a part of their big celebration taking place the next day. Simons is a Canadian brand which has a wide range of clothing which caters to all budgets. They carry well known designers as well as up and comers so you can discover new brands you love and also shop old favourites. There were a few bloggers at the event stationed at different stores throughout the South west wing and I was at The Face Shop. Click through to read more on my first event hosting experience!
I love The Face Shop and was really excited to get the chance to be there and learn more about their brand and their products. I also was so excited to meet the locals who came out to the event. Assisting customers in finding their perfect makeup and skincare, and letting them in on all the exciting giveaways available at the event was so much fun. I was so nervous to host my first event, but I am so thrilled I pushed myself to do it because it ended up being such a great experience.
While I have used their products, there was so much that I didn’t know about their brand’s story. The Face Shop was first launched in Korea and then it quickly expanded internationally. They try to keep all of their products as natural as possible and do not test on animals. I had had no idea about their strong values on environmental responsibility and their stance against animal testing, and when I heard this I became even more excited and committed to their brand. There’s nothing more disheartening to me than finding out a brand I love tests on animals, it’s something I can’t feel okay about and it usually means that I will end up not using a specific brands products again. Knowing that The Face Shop is against animal testing makes me feel even more excited to have them become a bigger part of my beauty, skin, and body care.
