But, with spring refreshing my take on on style and beauty, it’s felt like the perfect time to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, fashion styles, vancouver fashion blogger, top fashion blogs, popular fashion blogs, top style blogs, the urban umbrella style blog, paulas choice blush it on contour palette review, paulas choice blush it on contour palette swatches, best blush contour palette, best contour palette, affordable makeup Paula’s Choice sent me their gorgeous Blush It on Contour Palette which has 4 gorgeous blushes, one highlighter and one bronzer.  This has also come at a perfect time since in only a few weeks I’ll be going to France, Italy, and the Netherlands and I love packing makeup that offers a bit more freedom and versatility – like a palette does.

Paula’s Choice Blush It on Contour Palette Review

Pearl:

This highlighter is a soft blush tone with a slight sheen in it. It’s very natural and blends in beautifully. I have found some highlighters (especially liquid or stick highlighters) can be difficult to blend and end up creating an obvious highlight line, but this powder effortlessly blends right in and appears very natural. vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, fashion styles, vancouver fashion blogger, top fashion blogs, popular fashion blogs, top style blogs, the urban umbrella style blog, paulas choice blush it on contour palette review, paulas choice blush it on contour palette swatches, best blush contour palette, best contour palette, affordable makeup

Delicate Coral:

When I talk about being more adventurous with my beauty routine this spring, this is the blush shade I am referring to! Typically I go for softer pinks or mauve’s, but this punchy coral is such fun and just feels perfectly fresh for spring. This refreshed blush is bright yet blends in beautifully to create a more natural and soft coral cheek.

Peony:

One of my immediate favourites from this set was Peony. It jumped out at me the instant I opened the packaging. Peony is a very delicate peach-pink blush that applies very naturally. I found that on my fair skin that this blush gave that pretty “English rose” hue that I love so much. This blush has a very light and refresh look to it and doesn’t appear obvious on the skin which is why I think this blush is perhaps the best for creating that “no makeup makeup-look”.

Bronze:

Everyone needs a good bronzer in their beauty bin. I personally have always found it difficult to track down a great bronzer that looks natural, blends easily, and doesn’t have a shimmer or is orange toned. This bronzer is truly one of the only three that I have ever tried that ticked all the boxes that I needed it to. It’s very blendable, was matte, and didn’t have a orange undertone to it. All of this combined made for a bronzer that once applied appeared very natural.

Dusty Rose:

In general, I have found that  lipsticks, nail polishes, and blushes in a dusty rose shade tend to be my favourites. I love that romantic hue, and this blush is no exception. Along with Peony, this has really become one of the most worn blushes in the palette for me. This muted pink applies really beautifully and looks very natural on my fair skintone. I found that it gave the perfect flushed look.

Soft Mauve:

My love for a good soft mauve blush all began with my Hourglass Cosmetics blush in Mood Exposure, and now I am hooked on Paula’s Choice matte soft mauve blush too. I’ve found that Soft Mauves like this one tend to be pretty universal with people’s skin tones. It’s a very warm toned blush and instantly adds a natural rosy tone to your cheeks without being bright or unnatural.

Summary:

Overall, I found this palette incredible. The blushes, bronzer, and highlighter were all shades that were easy to wear and natural – but the shades also varied enough that the palette felt versatile. The best part about this palette is that I found the texture of the products to be very velvety and blendable. The bronzer blended in easily and didn’t create a muddy look when applied, the highlighter seamlessly blended-in and there was no obvious line, and all the blushes were easy to blend-in in order to create natural looks. This Paula’s Choice Blush it On Contour Palette is $36.00 and is currently noted  as a “Limited Edition” product. I really hope this changes as it’s a palette I’ll definitely want to invest in again. Best of all though, right now when you CLICK HERE you will receive 20% off your purchase from Paula’s Choice! (You have to let me know if you get this palette what you think of it!!) OH! And one more thing! Paula’s Choice is offering one lucky reader a chance to win an entire skincare regime valued at over $150. If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want If you had told me 10 years ago that I would want to spend all of my spare time off grid, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and mountains — I would’ve told you that you were crazy... But here we are 🤷‍♀️😂🌲💛 #WhereLifeLeads
“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛

I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the loss and illness that so many have experienced from C. It has been an extraordinarily hard two years for many, many people, for all sorts of different reasons and it is not my aim to diminish any of them. What I am trying to express is that we are at a breaking point societally.

If we continue to move forward with coercion, mandates, restrictions, and divisive passports based on fear (or a hope) then we risk setting precedents that we may not be comfortable leaning on in the future. We also risk dividing our society to such a degree that may make it difficult, if not impossible, to ever bring back together. Despite all of the debates, arguments, and comments made over the last few years, I do not believe that deep down Canadians want to live in a state of perpetual division.

If this is not the time to unite and end these mandates, when is? It is our systems that are broken, and they have been broken for a very long time. We all know this. Let's unite and fix them, and more together 💛

Creating our own peace ☮️

Nearing the end of 2021, one thing that Jer & I wanted to prioritize was creating our own peace. Life has been exhausting for the last long while and, like most people, our mental well-being suffered from the current state of Canada. We knew we needed to make some changes, add something to our lives to remove us (even temporarily, now and again) from the chaos that is now the “new normal”. So, we began making road trips around BC to find our very own home away from home. I feel immensely lucky to now have this remote sanctuary in our lives. It is somewhere we can go when life gets too overwhelming, somewhere we could live eventually if life continues to be overwhelming. In just the first few days here, I’ve already felt a shift in my mindset. I feel incredibly lucky to have this place and already it feels like home. 💖
✨Growing pains✨ . . . 2021, for many of us, w ✨Growing pains✨
. . .
2021, for many of us, was a year of growth. Some of it was painful, most of it inspiring, and all of it necessary. Sometimes growing means needing to shed the older versions of ourselves and sometimes that can be difficult or cause a loss in friendships or relationships. It can be challenging - believe me, I get it. But, anything or anyone who couldn't respect your growth then won't respect your future growth. While growth can be painful it is not nearly as painful as the dull consistent ache of feeling stuck.
