Today, I am sharing my Pixi Lipstick By Petra Mattelast Liquid Review. The lipsticks were sent to me, but there was no obligation to post. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
Over the last few years, liquid lipsticks have really made a name for themselves in the beauty world.
While I love normal lipsticks, when I want something that is low maintenance and going to be long-wearing, I often turn to my favourite liquid lipsticks. Even on my wedding day, I opted for a liquid lipstick over a normal cream one because I didn’t want to have to worry about having our first kiss turn into my husband wearing half my lipstick!
PIXI LIPSTICK REVIEW
While I love liquid lipsticks – not all are created equally. There are great lipsticks out there, and then there are ones that flake, fade, and feel uncomfortable.
And today, I am sharing whether I think Pixi’s Mattelast Liquid Lipsticks are a total yay, or an absolute nay.
PIXI BY PETRA MATTE LAST LIQUID LIPSTICK
Pixi Lipstick – The Shades:
In their mattelast liquid lipstick collection, Pixi has 6 shades. I recently was sent 5 of those shades and today I am going to be talking about those ones especially.
Au Naturelle: A coral/peach toned lipstick. Brighter than expected.
Matte Beige: A soft warm-toned beige lipstick.
Pastel Pink: A soft pink toned nude lipstick.
Really Rose: A deeper rosy-pink toned nude.
Evening Rose: A mauve-rose-brown shade. Similar to Really Rose but just slightly darker.
Pixi Lipstick – The Formula:
The formula of these lipsticks has really impressed me. I’ve worn these lipsticks a few times now and have been really impressed by how comfortable they feel on my lips and how long they last.
I haven’t found that they transfer much (though if you’re drinking something, you may notice a slight amount of transfer) and I’ve found that they last around 7 hours.
The colours are all very pigmented and you don’t need to layer them to achieve a even looking lip colour. It’s really a one-swipe type of lipstick which I love.
Pixi Lipstick – The Cost:
Online these lipsticks retail for $14.00 US though this price will vary depending on where you’re located.
