Rodial Dragon’s Blood Neck & Décolleté Sculpting Gel Review

Reading Time: 4 minutes Chances are by now, you know I am kind of a skincare fiend.  I’ve been big into skincare for the last few years – really, ever since spotting my first fine line. I saw it and I was like Oh HELL nah!  Anyways, since then, I’ve tried to consistently care for the skin on my face, and recently I began a more intensive body skincare routine – and now… I’ve officially even started caring more for my  Neck & Décolleté with the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Neck & Décolleté Sculpting Gel.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Neck & Décolleté Sculpting Gel Review

The Rodial Dragon’s Blood Neck Gel is super lightweight yet deeply hydrates the skin.  This neck cream has Volufiline, Wheat Protein, Dragon’s Blood and Hyaluronic Acid to help moisturize the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

What is Dragon’s Blood in Skincare?

I know what you’re thinking: What the heck is Dragon’s Blood? I wondered that, too, when I first began using Rodial’s Dragon Blood Neck Cream, and the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Mist. But, it’s not actually as weird or mystical as it seems… Dragon’s Blood is the actually just the sap from a Croton Lechleri tree.  So… no dragons were hurt in the process of making this neck cream!

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Polysilicone-11, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Sodium Polyacrylate, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Punica Granatum Extract, Parfum (Fragrance), Trideceth-6, Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract, Tocopherol, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Laureth-7, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, PVP, Croton Lechleri Resin Extract, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Potassium Sorbate, Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract, Trisodium EDTA, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool

How to Use It

Use the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Neck & Décolleté Sculpting Gel 1-2 times a day. I personally only use this once a day, at night, before bed though for optimal results it’s recommended you use it in the AM as well.  Apply the neck gel after cleansing your neck / décolleté in an upwards motion (towards the jawline). Follow up with your regular moisturizer/serum.

Review

While I don’t have “permanent” wrinkles or fine lines exactly on my neck/décolleté, I do sometimes wake up with lines on décolleté from how I’ve slept. Typically those lines are a sign of being dehydrated, but most recently I woke up with some because I had gotten quite sunburnt and really dehydrated my skin from (foolishly) staying out in the sun too long.  Since I have been trying to take better care of my skin both on my face and my body, it only made sense to begin caring more for the neck/décolleté area, too. And, those fine lines that show up in the AM every so often has acted as a reminder of that, too.      I look at a lot of my skincare routine as preventative. While these lines aren’t permanent right now, they could be one day and I would like to care for my skin as well as possible in order to prevent those lines from showing up early. The Rodial Dragon’s Blood Neck & Décolleté Sculpting Gel really makes your skin look and feel so moisturized, soft, and smooth.

While I can’t say that it exactly reduces the look of fine lines since I do not have them permanently, I can see that it does do something for the skin as it really does make it look so smooth and flawless.  I also really love that this neck cream doesn’t feel super heavy or tacky, it’s more of a gel that’s quite light so it’s very comfortable on the skin.    Rodial Dragon’s Blood Neck & Décolleté Sculpting Gel Review

“I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛 I s “I want to grow seeing you smiling” 💛

I saw so many powerful messages today from people sharing their "why" — the reason behind why they were there and standing as one of the "fringe". Here's a few reasons that I saw and heard:

- Why? Because I want my child to grow seeing smiles and smiling
- Why? Because I miss my family and loved ones.
- Why? Because my lived experience tells me not to trust what is happening right now.
- Why? Because I believe in our informed consent principles.
- Why? Because I believe in choice without coercion.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my job as a healthcare worker.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my business.
- Why? Because I’ve lost my home.
- Why? Because I’ve been injured.
- Why? Because I think there’s a better way forward for everyone.
- Why? Because I chose what I knew was best for me and I want everyone else to be free to do that as well.

Everyone has a unique reason why, and it’s important to take a moment to recognize and acknowledge them. Now is the time. Let's come together and be united💛

I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the I want to be clear: I am not trying to dismiss the loss and illness that so many have experienced from C. It has been an extraordinarily hard two years for many, many people, for all sorts of different reasons and it is not my aim to diminish any of them. What I am trying to express is that we are at a breaking point societally.

If we continue to move forward with coercion, mandates, restrictions, and divisive passports based on fear (or a hope) then we risk setting precedents that we may not be comfortable leaning on in the future. We also risk dividing our society to such a degree that may make it difficult, if not impossible, to ever bring back together. Despite all of the debates, arguments, and comments made over the last few years, I do not believe that deep down Canadians want to live in a state of perpetual division.

If this is not the time to unite and end these mandates, when is? It is our systems that are broken, and they have been broken for a very long time. We all know this. Let's unite and fix them, and more together 💛

Creating our own peace ☮️

Nearing the end of 2021, one thing that Jer & I wanted to prioritize was creating our own peace. Life has been exhausting for the last long while and, like most people, our mental well-being suffered from the current state of Canada. We knew we needed to make some changes, add something to our lives to remove us (even temporarily, now and again) from the chaos that is now the “new normal”. So, we began making road trips around BC to find our very own home away from home. I feel immensely lucky to now have this remote sanctuary in our lives. It is somewhere we can go when life gets too overwhelming, somewhere we could live eventually if life continues to be overwhelming. In just the first few days here, I’ve already felt a shift in my mindset. I feel incredibly lucky to have this place and already it feels like home. 💖
✨Growing pains✨ . . . 2021, for many of us, w ✨Growing pains✨
. . .
2021, for many of us, was a year of growth. Some of it was painful, most of it inspiring, and all of it necessary. Sometimes growing means needing to shed the older versions of ourselves and sometimes that can be difficult or cause a loss in friendships or relationships. It can be challenging - believe me, I get it. But, anything or anyone who couldn't respect your growth then won't respect your future growth. While growth can be painful it is not nearly as painful as the dull consistent ache of feeling stuck.
