Last weekend, Jeremy & I drove up to Pemberton and found our wedding venue. We’ve been searching for months, and frankly – having a tough time, finding a venue that ticked all of the boxes. Especially with all of the venue shut-downs in BC lately, finding our perfect wedding venue was beginning to feel like quite the challenge. Thankfully though, Jeremy stumbled upon a link and voila – we found our venue!
Saturday was a beautiful day, it felt and looked like spring – and it inspired me to brighten up my style for the day. Over the last few weeks, I’ve really felt that my style has been on a loop. Black jeans, turtlenecks, scarves, and sweaters day in and day out. Seeing the sun was a welcome change to infuse a bit of colour into my look and embrace spring fashion.
How to Level Up Your Spring Style Game:
During the spring and summer (really actually – all year round) blush is one of my absolute favourite colours. It’s soft, refreshing, and sweet – and it just feels like spring. Refresh your spring wardrobe with delicate blush tones:
Rock a Pretty Midi
If you haven’t noticed already, I’m obsessed with midi skirts. I love the practicality and ease of wearing a midi skirt, and I adore all the funky and unique prints they come in. Add a retro feminine flare to your style this spring and summer with a beautiful midi skirt & spring-ready midi dress.
Brighten up with a Fun Floral Print
Spring is the time for floral prints. Flowers are in bloom outside, and it just makes sense to bring on the blooms style-wise. Add a bright and punchy floral piece to your spring style to really kick your look up a notch!
Add in some Stylish Flares
We all know how much I love flare jeans, but lately I’ve also had my eye on flared tops. Shirts with flared sleeves have been on my radar lately, and I am a huge fan of the look.
Invest in a New Handbag
Each season, I invest in a new handbag to really “complete” my new seasonal style. While I believe a good basic handbag is a total must-have all the time, there’s also something to be said about handbags that are more on-trend. This slate grey handbag has a beautiful balance of practicality and trendiness. The colour is very “now”, but it’s still a neutral and works with a multitude of looks. One of the main reasons I love this Simply Pebble Tote though isn’t for it’s aesthetic at all, it’s because it is made from Peta approved Vegan Leather!
