I feel like I’ve been relatively MIA on my blog lately, and honestly – it’s made me so sad! My blog is one of my favourite escapes, and it allows me to be creative so having been away from it lately, and away from writing, has been disappointing for me these last few weeks/months. Thankfully, I am getting to a point where I have been able to catch up on life and work projects, so hopefully, I’ll be able to allow a bit more time for my wonderful passion project, The Urban Umbrella.
To start today’s post, let me give you all a little update on our life. Work has been crazy busy (which is both good, and bad!), there have been multiple BIG birthdays over the last month (nearly all of my fiancé’s closest friend’s are turning 30 this year!), and we’re gearing up for our wedding as well as Jeremy’s brothers! With all these little and big celebrations and projects in the mix, it’s been hard to really sit and focus on anything but planning and budgeting!
Our wedding is only 101 days away, and so we’ve been really trying to focus on planning to get ahead – but if you’ve ever planned a wedding you’re likely shaking your head laughing right now because you know, there’s no way to get ahead! It’s fun to plan, but there’s a lot of moving parts – and it does get a little overwhelming! If you have any wedding planning tips – share them in the comments below! I’d love your help and advice.
So with all that said, life has been great – it’s been busy, but with a lot of fun and exciting things.
Spring is a seriously beautiful time of year – but it’s not summer, and it’s still necessary to have a coat or two on hand for those chilly days. One type of coat I’ve been turning to more and more has been bomber jackets. I love the casual athleisure vibe they add to an outfit.
The bomber jacket I’ve been turning to most often lately has been this floral embroidered bomber jacket. I love the unexpected femininity from the floral print and its shiny satin finish. I’ve been surprised to find how versatile this style of jacket is, it works great with simple and casual looks like today’s – and it also works perfectly with a cute sundress and sneakers.
I love casual styles like these as they are so practical and convenient for everyday life. It’s something you’ll want to wear time and time again and will work for all occasions – from walking your dog around the park to heading out for dinner and drinks with friends.
