Usually, spring is one of my favourite seasons. While summer is my absolute favourite, spring is so magical, fresh, and full of colour that it’s hard not to love. The sunny brisk days are in particular my favourite.
While we haven’t had the spring I was hoping for just yet (it’s been a spring that requires a lot of stylish rain gear!), we have had a few sneak peeks of it – and it’s got me day dreaming about a sunny and beautiful spring time. Also, my Facebook memories keep showing me how last year I was outside picnicking (and even tanning in one photo!) and that’s been the biggest thing reminding me of how beautiful spring can really be.
In preparation for our usual sunny spring, I began breaking out my dresses – and the two in particular I’ve been excited about have been this Crochet Cami Dress and this Floral Holiday Crochet Dress. While I love floral pieces for spring, there’s something about subtly floral crochet dresses that have really been stealing my heart.

The great thing about subtle floral prints like this is that they act as a neutral. Since the crochet pattern is the same colour as the dress, you can pair whatever you typically would with the dress. The floral pattern isn’t bold or colourful enough to impact the overall look and matching process.
Navy is one of my favourite neutral tones for spring and summer, it’s still an impactful colour but it’s neutral enough that you can add in other shades to really brighten your look. With my navy floral crochet dress, I decided to add a pair of statement red heels and red lip (NARS Audacious lipstick in Shirley) to really make this look bright and fun for spring.

I have a weakness for crochet and lace dresses. This one is no exception! The color is so beautiful too!
