A few months ago I told myself that I would work toward building the perfect skirt collection. I know it’s a strange goal, but up until this point I literally had zero skirts. I always have loved the look of skirts, but whenever I’m out shopping I tend to be more drawn to dresses. After buying a few pretty and prim midi skirts (black midi skirt styled here, lilac midi skirt styled here) and then even picking up a totally out of the box leather mini, I decided that my next purchase had to be a striped skirt.
I actually spotted this skirt while picking up a few things nat Target. I love finding something you’ve been looking for for months in a store you least expect. After trying it on and being blown away by the quality (it’s seriously such great quality, super thick and heavy material = perfect for the cold months!) I knew this was going to be my perfect striped skirt. While I was away in Victoria for Jer’s sister’s wedding (see my wedding guest look here!) I wore this skirt practically every day, aside from at the actual wedding. I was surprised to find that not only did I love the playful stripes of the skirt, but I also loved the comfortable feel.
I sported my favourite striped skirt & rust-tone peter-pan collared blouse for a recent coffee date with my fella. J & I both are coffee fiends (not to be confused with coffee snobs!) and we often head out to try out new shops together. After recently having a collaboration meeting at Timbertrain, and raving about the delicious cappuccino to him, we had to make a special little trip back together so he could try it out as well. At this point, it’s fair to say that Timbertrain is definitely being added to our favourite coffee-shop-stop list.
Have a wonderful weekend lovelies, and an amazing Halloween!
