Style from Day to Night

I hope you all had an incredible weekend filled with fun, friends, and Netflix. I spent my weekend getting ahead with the blog, seeing blogger friends, and hanging out with my favourite guy (ahem, my fiancé!). It was also a great weekend to put my day-to-night style to the test. With having so many plans this passed weekend, I was truly tested on my ability to make pieces in my wardrobe versatile, comfortable, practical, and stylish. One piece that proved to be very flexible in terms of my style this passed weekend was my Melissa Bui skirt. In chartreuse, a colour that typically I wouldn’t have thought to be so easy to style, this skirt worked with some of my favourite go-to pieces and made even casual tops appear more dressy and put together. Since versatility in style is something I talk about so often here on the UU, I wanted to spend today sharing how I took this outfit from day to night with only a few minor changes.

Style from Day to Night

One thing I always believe in is making the most out of the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. As a fashion blogger, it can be easy to get caught up in the idea that you’re always needing something new to share. But really, there’s something kind of awesome about showing how you can mix old with new (or old with old) and still have a stylish look. Both of my looks today feature my new Melissa Bui skirt (which I seriously cannot get enough of!) with older pieces that I’ve worn many times on my blog.

Daytime Style:

When it comes to my daytime style, I like to pick things that reflect the day. So, during the summer I love wearing bright, fun, and peppy colours that play into the colours around me. Since we’ve been surrounded by such beautiful flowers this summer, I’ve been really drawn to floral prints. This light floral print is easy to wear, comfortable and works perfectly with the fit and flare Melissa Bui skirt. vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer stylevancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style

Evening Style:

During the evening, I usually tend to stick to darker colours, but this skirt inspired me to brighten up. I headed out to dinner sporting my Melissa Bui skirt, my favourite rust toned blouse, and a pair of simple strappy sandals – which is definitely my idea of the perfect evening outfit as it combines comfort, ease, and style. vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer stylevancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style    vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer stylevancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style vancouver style blog, vancouver fashion blog, vancouver blog, vancouver fashion bloggers, best vancouver fashion blog, fashion blog, vancouver style blogger, vancouver style bloggers, vancouver lifestyle blog, vancouver travel blog, canadian fashion blog, canadian style blog, canadian travel blog, popular fashion blog, popular style blog, bree aylwin, style from day to night, work to night style, how to wear a skirt from day to night, transitional style, melissa bui, summer style

I need an equally flowing skirt in my life. I’m just not fond of showing off my legs because I’m not great at shaving them. XD

Speaking of yellow – it’s become one of my favorite colors as of late. ^^
