Today I am sharing 3 Fall Fashion Staples with Reitmans that will help you achieve cozy and chic style all fall and winter long. This post was sponsored by Reitmans. All opinions expressed are 100% my own. I just really love Reitmans clothing!
Ah Fall, such a beautiful time of year.
I’ve been truly awed this year by how stunning it is. I don’t know if I just haven’t taken the time to notice it before, or if this fall is particularly beautiful, but it seems like the trees have just bloomed into bright and vibrant shades of orange, red, yellow, and green everywhere.
Yesterday, I was driving to an event and the sunlight was peeking through the trees and it was truly breathtaking. Oh Fall, I love you.
Apparently, though, we’re in for a pretty intense winter here in Vancouver. From what I’ve read, it seems this year is supposed to be even worse than last – yikes!
With that in mind, I have begun thinking of ways to build up my wardrobe to prepare for one heck of a cold and rainy late fall and winter.
When Reitmans reached out to me to check out their fall and winter collection, I was immediately excited. I have been a fan of Reitmans clothing for years. In fact, I remember the first time I ever shopped there.
It was about 8 years ago and it was just a few days before my first day (at my first real job!), and I went to Reitmans to find practical, comfortable, and stylish pieces to wear the office. I pretty much fell in love with their clothing, and they’ve been a go-to shop for me ever since.
I went into the store and tried on a bunch of their new coats, and I immediately fell in love with this olive green Hooded Parka. Olive green is one of my favourite colours pretty much year-round.
I consider it a neutral and love how it works with simple everyday outfits. Reitman’s wool coats are all super cute, elegant, and cozy for fall. I truly nearly walked out with about 10 of them.
What also drew me towards this coat was the length.
To me, it’s important to have a coat hit the thigh area. A longer coat just means extra warmth, and I am always down to be a bit cozier during the fall and winter seasons. Adding to the cozy factor is the hood.
Having a hood on my coat was something I never saw as essential in my early 20s, but as I’ve gotten older, I have begun to see a hood as a total essential on a coat. (Let’s face it, there were a lot of things style-wise that I thought were no biggy when I was 20. Like wearing a dress without leggings in the winter. Yea. No thanks.) The fact is, it rains here – a lot – and I want to be able to shield my face, ears, hair, and neck from the cold.
In western Canada, Reitmans doesn’t yet carry their down coats, but if you’re on the hunt for a down coat then you can either go in-store and they can order the coat you like into the store near you, or you can shop online and ship it directly to your house!
3 Fall Fashion Staples | The Essentials You Need for Fall.
A Great Coat
The most essential fall fashion staple article of clothing to have for Fall is a great coat.
Knits, sweaters, scarves, sweater coats, and gloves are all great – but when it comes to what’s really going to keep your warm and dry, it’s your coat that needs to be next level awesome.
This Hooded Parka is such a wonderful and cozy coat. It balances style with practicality which is what I am all about.
Soft Knits
Sweater weather is truly the #1 reason I enjoy fall. I love sweaters, and in particular, I am obsessed with this cozy and seriously adorable Long Bell Sleeve Cable Knit Sweater. If you’ve been following my stories than you already know how often I’ve been wearing this sweater!
Cozy Accessories
To add another level of warmth to your style, you want to add on cozy accessories such as gloves and a scarf. Reitmans has so many wonderful options, like their Leather and Knit Gloves and Nep Scarf.

If you are working in a proper office, every woman should wear at least one blazer that is quite flattering to her. If it is not a right fit for you then one can get altered from the tailor.
Totally agree! I don’t work in an office, and these aren’t work-essentials (they are more lifestyle essentials) but for the office I think a blazer is a must-have! Reitmans has great blazers!
Hey Bree,
Thanks for the reply. Just wanna ask that do you accept guest post or not?
It really depends. I only have a few times, and it’s always been from bloggers that I know quite well. I like to keep my content from my POV/ with my writing style!
