TGIF, am I right? This week has been insanely busy, and I couldn’t be happier that it’s Friday – aka, Date Night. Since I’ve been looking forward to the weekend all week long, I thought it would be fun to share my go-to date night makeup look.
As you guys know, I love natural makeup looks, and more often than not, they’re what I stick to. But when I am heading out for a girls night out, or a date with the fella, it’s fun to step up my beauty game and do something a bit out of the norm.
One makeup look I’ve really loved lately has been smolderingly halo eyes. Halo eyes are dark in the inner and outer corners of your eyes, and are shimmery and light in the centre lid area. It’s this sort of makeup look that is a perfect go-to for a date night, or a girls night out, – and it’s especially great if you’re like me and you’re used to wearing lighter eyeshadow looks.
The Halo eye technique differs from smoky eyed looks as the centre of the eye is much lighter, and just the inner and outer corners are dark and smoky. When you’re not used to wearing dark shadows, this is a great way to try them out.
