 Tashodi Product Review

As soon as I saw Tashodi products I knew I had wanted to try them – free trade, paraben free, parafume free just sounded too good to pass up. I searched high and low in the salons and drug stores nearby but had no luck finding their products so I decided to go right to the source.
Upon receiving the package I was thrilled to see that there was a deep conditioning product in the kit as well as a Tashodi Japanese Peppermint Scalp Massage Hair oil product for a pre-conditioning treatment.  I had actually just touched up my roots so the timing for a deep conditioning could not have been any better. I covered my scalp in the Peppermint oil and massaged my scalp for about 5 minutes. I loved how light and fresh the scent was but was nervous that my hair would be left slick and oily because I literally was putting oil on my hair.

I hopped in the shower and first shampooed my hair with a Organix hair shampoo called “Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo” (review coming soon) and then applied the Tashodi Japanese Peppermint Lemongrass deep conditioner. The conditioner was thick and sticky, it felt like a heavy glue in my hands but applied smoothly over my hair. Once my hair was covered entirely I hopped out of the shower to let the conditioner seep into the hair shaft a bit more.

Hopping once again back into the shower I took the clip, that was holding my hair up, out and felt that the sticky glue had turned into a soft butter on my hair. Washing out the conditioner  does take some time, it’s quite thick so it really sticks to your hair; But once it was all rinsed out I was overjoyed to find my hair was detangled and softer than ever before. The oil used on my hair did not leave any residue and in-fact rinsed out just like the conditioner did. Once my hair had dried it looked like silk, it was so smooth and soft that I barely had to use any styling tools before I went out that night.

As I said above, I have used these products for a few weeks and my love for these products has yet to subside.  If you see them at Winners, or soon enough when you see them at Loblaw’s locations I definitely would recommend trying a few of their hair products out!

Along with the amazing Tashodi hair care line I received I was also given a lovely set of soaps and a body lotion. Quite honestly I could not rave on about these more! The smells of each were completely divine and the body lotion was wonderfully hydrating. My particular favourite of the soaps was “Pure Lavender“. I loved the soft scent of soft lavender and how great it was on my sensitive skin. I am  always apprehensive about trying new soaps because my skin had a tendency to break out in hives when I try something new, but these products all worked fantastically. The Sea Mineral Body Shower soap is a incredibly light and very fresh scent, I really adored this scent too and actually this was Jeremy’s favourite!

The Sea Mineral lotion is seriously nothing short of incredible. It was amazingly hydrating and softly scented; I always prefer light scents to heavy floral or sweet scents when it comes to my perfumes, lotions or body washes so this really suited me. During the winter months my skin also dries out, I do not fare well in the cold, but this lotion has seriously been saving my skin from the effects of a brutal winter. If you’d like to see more Tashodi products then CLICK HERE

Yeah! Lovin' anything Fair Trade! I got a hand lotion with a soap for my birthday last year, something simular! Also Lavender, Fair Trade from Ghana. SO much better than normal soaps and lotions, there really is a difference!
