Little getaways are so important to me.
Every so often, I have found that being able to get out of town for a day or two really helps me recharge.
The funny thing is, while I’ve always heard that Seattle is incredible – I actually had never been until this past weekend.
And now that I know how easy Seattle is to get to from Vancouver, I definitely know that we’ll be heading down there more often as it has to be the Best Weekend Getaway out of Vancouver.
Plus, as bad as this sounds – I hadn’t really accomplished any of the holiday shopping I usually would by this time. I have always heard that the Seattle Premium Outlets is the best one-stop shop to find perfect gifts for everyone on your list.
So planning a weekend trip to Seattle really was hitting two birds with one stone as we were able to have our little getaway, while also getting all of our holiday shopping accomplished in one short day!
Our holiday began at the Palladian Hotel which is conveniently located right near Pike Place and the Public Market. I could’ve stayed and explored this adorably quaint and rustic area for days. I truly loved it.
The Palladian Hotel has a ton of character and every which way you turn, there is something unique and interesting to see.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff which immediately jumped to help us with our luggage (which we brought too much of because I have a problem packing apparently!) and led us to the check-in area.
Once we made our way up to the room, we were blown away by the incredible room decor, the super comfy bed (with a hilarious Michael Jackson pillow on it), the giant bathroom, and the incredible tub.
We felt totally spoiled by the luxuries in the Presidential Suite, and by the incredibly helpful and welcoming staff at the Palladian Hotel.
As we left on Saturday, Jeremy even said it was like we were leaving friends. Everyone there had been so lovely it was like they were our old friends we had come to see for a visit.
While we left the Palladian Hotel on Saturday, our fun was far from over! We had planned for our Saturday to be filled with shopping and so we headed up to the Seattle Premium Outlets.
The Seattle Premium Outlets is only about a 30-minute drive out of Seattle (and approximately 1 – 1.5 hour from the border) to begin our holiday shopping!
I had never thought of it before, but going to the Seattle Premium Outlets during the holidays is the best way to get all your holiday shopping done both efficiently and on a budget – especially with some of the stores offering even bigger discounts to Canadian shoppers!
All we had to do was show our ID’s or Canadian Passport (to confirm we were from Canada) at Guest Services to receive details on special discounts. After discovering which stores we would receive even greater deals at, we were able to map out our day of shopping to ensure that we shopped smart!!
The Seattle Premium Outlets have an array of shops sure to please the fashionista, beauty maven, stylish fella, golfer, or chef on your holiday list. A few of my favourite stores were American Eagle, Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, Burberry, and Loft.
Jeremy enjoyed perusing the aisles of Columbia, TaylorMade Golf Factory, and The North Face, just to name a few.
Within minutes, I had found perfect gifts for my mum, dad, and brother – and maybe even one or two for Jeremy (don’t worry, I bought them sneakily so he didn’t see!).
I scored great deals on a few gifts for my girlfriends, and found a gift that’s just perfect for Jeremy’s parents.

amazin recap of ur weekend)))) have a wonderful day))) xoxo <3

I loved watching your snaps from Seattle! That hotel looked unbelievable.
Outlet shopping in the US is so much better than it is in Canada. I have no idea why that is! It looks like you did well, despite the awful rain.

Something About That
I love shopping at the Seattle Premium Outlets. I've been away from Vancouver too long! That bathroom at the Palladian is gorgeous.
I'm the same way — I'd go crazy if I couldn't take a weekend away from LA now and then. I've never been to the Seattle Premium Outlets, but I'll definitely keep them in mind if I head north! Thanks for sharing!
