If you follow me via Instagram or twitter then you probably have a pretty good idea of my life lately. But either way I wanted to do a little “life lately” recap because I’m pretty excited about where J & I are at right now! I’ve mentioned few times that we are looking to move and we have finally (somewhat) settled that we are going to be moving closer into downtown rather than sticking around the ‘burbs.
The last two weekends we’ve spent our days downtown to see what it would really be like to live there from sunrise to sunset. You may have already seen that Jer & I stopped at the Food Truck Festival and picked up some ridiculously tasty grilled cheeses from Mom’s Grilled Cheese two weeks ago and that we also went shopping which I’ll be honest, was totally unnecessary considering our current closet situation. Jer splurged on lots of new work clothes at RW&Co while I exercised my willpower to not buy anything, and I’m telling you it takes a lot for me to not go totally crazy at Rw&Co. Then this last weekend we house hunted all Saturday and spent our evening at Salt Tasting Room. Anyways, being downtown all day/night was actually somewhat eye opening because one of the apartments we looked at was located in a spot that changes quite drastically from day to night; and seeing it during the evening got immediately got it nixed from our possible home list. We were relieved though to find that our favourite apartment was in quite a nice area and it felt quite safe even at the later hours. So, this weekend we are taking another look to decide whether or not this apartment is the right apartment.
I don’t know about you, but the big things on my house hunting list are closet space, a secondary bathroom and a storage locker. The big things to J are closet space, a double sink in the bathroom, a secondary bathroom, a painting room for me (so sweet) and a storage locker. It’s quite difficult to find all these assets in an apartment but dangit, we’re trying!
