Own some glitter leggings but not sure how to style them? Today I am sharing a few tips on how to style sequin leggings this holiday season!
outfit details: F21 Blouse, Gold Leggings ℅ Obviously Chic, Aldo Handbag, Aldo Heels, Necklace – similar hereIt’s officially the time of year to really go all out with festive fashion – go plaid, play with rich reds, and best of all – go gold. When I spotted these Obviously Chic gold sequin leggings, I knew immediately they would be perfect for the holiday season and I couldn’t wait to style them. As soon as the parcel arrived, I immediately threw them on along with one of my favourite hi-lo blouses, simple black heels, and a classic chain necklace. The pairing seems so basic but the golden leggings add such a wonderfully fun & playful element, perfect for a Holiday Party or New Year’s Eve look.
How to Style Sequin Leggings:
1. Pair them with neutralsBecause sequin leggings are so bold and eyecatching, they really are the “star” of an outfit. That means you want to pair them with neutral pieces (think black, grey, white, cream tones) so that your outfit doesn’t appear too busy or like there are multiple pieces in competition with one another.
2. Wear a long blouseBecause they are leggings, it looks best to have a longer shirt or sweater paired with them. Of course, this is a personal look preference so wear your leggings how you like, but I find leggings, in general, look best with a longer shirt or sweater when being dressed up. I really loved the look of this super simple high-low blouse paired with these leggings. It added a bit more interest to the look without being an overly bold statement piece.
3. Keep your jewelry simple
Similar to wearing neutrals, keeping your jewelry minimal is another way to make sure your outfit isn’t too busy. I just wore a chain necklace with this look and while it is somewhat of a large/statement piece because it is the lone-piece of jewelry worn with the outfit, it doesn’t look too busy or bold. If you’re wearing sequin leggings then you may want to stick to just 1-2 pieces of jewelry.
